I am giving this review today as an item for our raid at The Power Reviewers Group! I thought that this was a very beautiful yet very sad piece of writing.
What is so sad about it is how true and how often this scenario occurs. It is terrifying to know that there are people that may live right down the street from us who have nothing to eat or who is being abused. I think this work of fiction was eye opening, which is just what is needed with this subject.

I am giving this review today as an item for our raid at The Power Reviewers Group! I think that this was a genuinely great idea for a writing project.
You gave us ten different ideas about which we could write. I think that Christmas is the best time to shine light on the Christ, which is what it is all about. Write a story about what you would do if you were fortunate enough for Him to visit you on Christmas. What would you say to Him? Would you invite Him in or shun Him? This, to me, is the best story a writer could write about for Christmas. Your ideas were all great too, I just thought I would add this one as well.

I am giving this review today as an item for our raid at The Power Reviewers Group! I have never been a big fan of the song, "The Twelve Days Of Christmas".
However, I do think you did a wonderful job creating a mother's version of the song. My favorite was the last one. I have always gotten tired of having to repeat the same lines over and over again, that is why It is low on my list of Christmas songs to sing. Yours is very cute and I think that you did a wonderful job creating it.

Hello Dave ,I'd like to wish you a very happy account anniversary this afternoon, you have now been a member of writing.com for about thirteen years, since 2005. That is much longer than I have been, I do hope that you are having a very blessed day today as I am having.
I just read "unlucky", your poem that makes me feel as if you are looking into my own life as I am the most unlucky person I've ever known . It is quite the amusing little piece of writing.. I really did enjoy it very much.
The title was so perfect and appropriate for this piece. The item description was helpful to the reader as well. my favorite part of this item is the following:


My wife’s naggin' me into the ground,
and my IRA’s not very sound--
worst it’s ever been.
All hell broke loose when
my girl friend caught me messin' around.

I thought it was very funny.

The sun meanders lazily across
the sky, each minute painting
new cave art on the towering
edifices , unappreciated by
the inhabitants, but beautiful
in the eyes of the universe.

I think that the title you chose to name this piece was very good as well as being very appropriate for the item. I also think that the item description for this item was very helpful to the readers of this piece of writing. I thought that you chose a wonderful description of a place to go when you are stressed.
We all have someplace in which we choose to hide when we are stressed. My favorite part of your item is the following:


Waterfalls pour into pools,

And bathe in the silver moonlight.

The tall trees create a canopy.

I walk into it timidly,

Afraid of waking up.

I loved the thought of this description, it sounds so beautiful. It is a place where I too would choose to go when stressed.

I do hope you have had a blessed day today as I have had. I thought that this was a fascinating piece of literature. I love to read poetry, It is my favorite kind of writing. I thought that you did a very nice job creating and writing this item. I liked the title that you called this piece, I thought that it was so very appropriate. I also thought that you did a good job with the item description as it is helpful to the reader of the piece.
This is an item about a person who is not able to make a promise to another person. I think that is a sad thing, myself. my favorite part of this item is the following:

We're ripping ourselves to pieces
i don't see where this'll end
its a new personal thesis
to watch blood descend.

my only suggestion is for you to always capitalize the pronoun I.

This was a won derful look at your insight into having an eating disorder.
I think that you did a fantastic job creating this piece of writing. I hope it was helpful to you to let your innermost feelings been known, I guess it may be cathartic for you. I thought that the title of this item was well suited to the writing and very appropriate. I also think that the item description was so very helpful to the readers of this piece. It is such an awful thing that you suffer from an eating disorder, I have read many items where people often suffer due to some other reason , I hope you can get a handle on this illness.

I thought that the title was an excellent choice for this piece of writing it was also very appropriate. I also think that the item description was very helpful to the reader of your poem. This was an extra nice poem about being immortal or of feeling that way with someone you love. this is what I got out of it anyway. My favorite part of your writing was the following:

Immortality is we
And the future says we’ll last
Can’t you see, now we are free
Live life on a lane so fast
Now here we are, standing over them all
Now here we’ll stay, seeing them fall
Because forever here we rule, forever here we remain
Immortality is only ours, for no one else to obtain

I liked this part because you feel as if you will go on forever. I liked the rhyming of this as well and it had a nice little rhythm.

I do hope you have had a blessed day today, as I have had. I liked the title of your little poem or limerick, I thought that the title was very appropriate for this particular piece of writing.
\Limericks are among my favorite of all of the poems. I like them because most of them are very humorous and I like the way they rhyme as well.
I think that you need to give a little bit better item description for the poetry, however, It is very important to the reader that they know what is going on, but I guess this works as they can read for themselves I suppose. I think that you created a wonderful and fun little ditty for your readers it has four stanzas to it which makes it special I thin k.

I love poetry and I do believe 5that you did a great job creating this poem, "Something Out Of Nothing". My favorite part of your love poem is the following part:

You rearrange these empty atoms
Into a certain indescribable sequence;
A code specific to your influence.
And even if all this is nothing
- Hollow universe of false existence -
You make me feel real.

I liked it the best because it is showing the feelings that you have. I believe you feel like something special or at least that is what I got from this piece of writing.

I thought that this was a magnificently written piece of writing. I so much enjoyed your talent and I must say I really loved this piece of poetry. I felt the love lost and the loneliness in your words. My favorite part of your poetry was the following:

There came a gentle whisper, and the voice; it eased my dread. It spoke of peace and forgiveness and this is what It said; "Fear not my child. True love will never end. An honest heart can surely break, but I promise you that it can also mend. I know how much you've hungered, I've felt your relentless thirst; but there were souls in greater need; I tended to them first".

I thought you really out did yourself in the above stanza, as it was beautiful.

Hello GerMac ,I'd like to wish you a very happy account anniversary on this fine autumn day it is crisp and beautiful here which always puts me in the best of moods, I do so hope you are having a blessed and lovely day, as I am havin g. You are a very terrific writer of poetry. I bet you can really play a wonderful piano concerto. I thought the addition of the partner in the kitchen baking bread really did add a tremendous amount of feeling to your wonderful poem. I love to hear music and I thin k it is a great subject on which to write poetry. "Keyboard Lightning" was a wonderful title and it is also very appropriate for this item. and the item description or the teaser which ever you choose to call it is a great addition for the reader to get in the mood.

Hello GerMac ,I'd like to wish you a very happy account anniversary this month as your anniversary will fall on the thirtieth of this month. I chose this item because I have read many of your other ones and I had not yet read this one. I find that you are a very talented poet and writer. I thought that this was an amazing piece of writing. you included all of the elements of writing, mentioning the feel, sight, sound and so on. You described the scene so very well. my favorite part of the writing was the first stanza:

In the wee hours of the evening I am awakened
by the howls of coyotes and the chirps of crickets,
The utterly fresh air tantalizes my nostrils,
The balmy breeze kisses my eyelids,
An occasional light flashes in my window
as a vehicle passes by.


I liked it the best because of all of the distinct description of the scene.
I felt as if I were there spying on you and could actually feel what you felt.

Hello bobturn ,I'd like to wish you a very happy account anniversary This evening, I do so hope you have had a blessed day today as I have had.
It is cold and wet here in Kentucky, USA today, I hope you are staying warm.
I came across this contest while I was searching your portfolio for something of interest to read for your anniversary. I have never heard of this contest before, and I think it looks like a very fun and neat contest. It is a Poetry contest in which you paint a picture in words using free verse. It is a contest of a very different sort, I liked this contest it is just great I believe. I would suggest that people enter and try to vie for the top prize. The entries must be free verse poetry of seven to forty lines long. There are so many poetry contests here at writing.com, however I believe this one rises above the rest.

Hello Chryseis47 ,I'd like to wish you a very happy account anniversary this evening. I came across this poem in your portfolio and I just couldn't resist reading it. You see, I love to read poetry and I especially like to read the kin d of poetry that is ripped from your heart, which this certainly appeared to. I can't imagine what you must feel after having to deal with a man of such brutality. I have often been glad that when my father died my mother never remarried. Although I do wish her the happiness I just can't see me accepting a new father at this point in my life. But she richly deserves happiness with the man of her choice. I'm just glad for myself that she didn't choose to go that way. She devoted her time and resources to her family and I respect and love her for that. I'm so sorry for your experiences.

Hello SeanFear , I found this item on the story-poem forum, however I am currently on hiatus due to illness, so I am not judging the contest right now. However, I did read and am going to review this item. I thought it was a very well written item and I gave it 4.5 stars, which it richly deserved. I liked your story poem I thought that you did a fantastic job creating it. I have read your work before and will, I'm sure, read it again and it is just up to what I would expect from a talented author.

Hello C. H. Townsend , I came across this item on writing.com's read and review pages while I was seeking something of interest to read this evening.
I liked the title of this item and I thought that it was very appropriate for this particular item. I thought that the item description was both good as well as being helpful to the reader. The body of the poem was well written and it spoke to love being discovered. I thought it was a sweet and melodic sounding poem.

Hello E. G. Daniels , I came across this item and it looked tremendously interesting to me, so I thought I would give it a look see. I thought that you did a fantastic job with the subject matter. I really liked what you had to say and the way you said it. I thought that the title was excellent and was appropriate for this item. I equally thought that the item description was very helpful to the reader. I am sorry that you don't see yourself in a more positive light, you are a special person because God made you so. You have talent for writing and that is a precious gift from the Lord. The only little thing that I saw which was a mistake were the following:

the last word should be anyway not anyways. there should not be an s on the end. c:black}

I am giving this review today as an item for our raid at The Power Reviewers Group! I came across this item while searching for something to read for our review raid this evening. I saw this and thought I'd give it a look see. I thought that this was a cute little poem and It brought to mind when I was a youngster, I was always under foot in my house, I was hyper and I'm sure I drove everybody crazy with my silliness. My parents were great and loved me very much but I was a lot to handle I'm sure.

Hi Northwood and welcome to Writing.com, a place where we can all come together with one goal... helping each other improve our craft.
I am giving this review today as an item for our raid at The Power Reviewers Group! I came across this item while I was searching for something of interest to read for our raid. I saw this and was really just taken away. It is funny and sweet I just loved it. My favorite part of this poem is the following stanza:


A slug trail up my trouser leg,
and pigeon poo on my hat.
And if you think I smell a lot,
I was scent marked by the cat!

I thought that this stanza was so amusing and cute. You really did use your imagination and made a very clever little poem I thought. The title was excellent and very appropriate for the poem. good going.
