| [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] let's get things straight, first: I am in NO WAY a 1D fan. Buuut this song is decent. And it's catchy. And a little silly.  Honestly, I never expected this to be a 1D song. I heard it on Pandora in first quarter, and went "hey, this is a cute song. I wonder who sang it." and then "Oh! It's One Direction. Not bad for them." So I guess it's guilty because it's One Direction. And, as I told the girl in charge of BAMP last year, "they have catchy songs, I'll give them that. But no, I don't love them. I'm not crazy about them." I don't hate them, but I definitely don't love them. I won't scream every time their song(s) come on the radio, or wish I could marry one of them.  ....Autoplay just went to "Drag Me Down" I like that song too.  I didn't know that was One Direction, either. Until just now.  maybe their new stuff isn't that bad?  Or.... I don't even know.  |

"her music" typically consists of the 70s and 80s hits where I'll usually go   . And if Mom listens to my stuff, she'll do a *covers ears* sorta thing. No joke. Buuut I'll admit, her music isn't SO bad... I like some of the stuff she likes. BUT I will NEVER tell her.  and if I do, I'll tell her I like the Glee'd version, to which she'll also and say something about how I don't appreciate the classics and original stuff, and only like new, remixed, popular stuff. But hey, back in HER days, those songs were the new, popular stuff, too, weren't they?!   |
| [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] I've been listening to this song on replay for a while. Not sure why. Probably since it's so sad, and I haven't been in the best moods lately. I'm honestly contemplating quitting CHP. (Campuswide Honors Program) I think it's way too much work to be taking two core classes at once, and I'm too stressed for my own good. I'm pretty sure I had a stress breakdown last night, too. The song makes me sad, but it's soo pretty. Now I've put on Stutter so I'm happier.  |
| http://www.famousbirthdays.com/people/logan-fabbro.html She was the "mean girl" season 1 and 2 of The Next Step I used to think she looked SUUUPER snobby with her Elite jacket and high bun and everything, but with her hair down.... she's SO PRETTY. But. But. HOW. She can NOT be younger than my sister!!! I mean, her feet, her legs, her extensions (her lines, not her hair) are all so NICE. Anyways.... *heaves a large sigh* Today's "guilty pleasure", since we're on the topic of dance already: [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] This was when I could still watch Dance Moms on Project FreeTV- I remember watching the episode and I know *pretty much* all the drama behind it. Mackenzie (Maddie Ziegler's younger sister) was supposed to play the lead, but some stuff happened and Abby Lee Miller (who's now being sued for various reasons) said "forget it, my dancers aren't doing your video, MattyB!" but Jo Jo (the very blonde little girl), Nia (African American), and Kalani (the tallest one) and their moms said "heck no" (essentially) "that's so unprofessional to quit like that, so we're gonna stay". I'm not a big MattyB fan, honestly. I will say, for his age, he's kinda cute, but that's about all he has going for him, aside from his voice. I started "following" him when he sang "True Colors"- because his younger sister has Down Syndrome. I gave him major props for that. Plus, the video was sweet. I liked how he incorporated his sister, since it WAS about her.  Maybe that song should be my choice. |
....but it's catchy!  [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] I'm pretty sure it came out after 8th grade/the summer before 9th grade. They also played it at the end of the The Iliad, the Odyssey and all of Greek Mythology in 99 minutes or Less show they had at school. I'm not quite sire what the song had to do with the show, nor do I remember much about the show, besides the song, though I know I saw it for extra credit in English class. This is probably all besides the point... but I think this made it into top 40 because of the catchiness... everything else they may (or may not) have came out with was probably incomprehensible. |
| [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] Here's a blast from the past. it was middle school?! when this came out.. and then I remember my friends and I suddenly got into double-dutch-ing. I also remember I wasn't very good. one rope? fine. Two ropes? not so much.I also remember watching the movie- because, well, 1. it's Disney, and 2. it's jump roping, and 3. Sis totally would NOT approve. She disliked High School Musical as well, and this IS the HSM guy.... I'm *pretty sure* these were still the days when Blockbuster was still around, because I remember it was a DVD. I don't actually remember the premises of the movie (I'll have to re-watch it some time), but judging from the video, I'm assuming the dad highly disapproved of a jump roping son. And I wouldn't blame him if I hadn't seen the cool tricks. |

And I rocked it. so now, I like it, even if only because I have the highest scores for the song. Sis, of course, was the one who introduced it to me-and Mom at the same time-Mom found the song incredibly hilarious. |
| [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] I remember sis was the one who found it. And listening to it now, the rap part makes NO SENSE. They're potstickERs, not potsticks. But in all seriousness, I chose the song today because I went to a Chinese New Year party thingy tonight, and coming back, I looked for the one-hit wonders, and figured this would be very, very appropriate. And props to them for not mentioning orange chicken, though BOO for mentioning Panda Express. P.S. Stirring soup with chopsticks like she did in the video is considered rather rude. So don't follow her example. |
| So my day 3 (also pulled from Wikipedia, but I LOVE the song!) It also just took me 3 tries to type "Love" Must be how tired I am. So, without ado: [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] I think it's a cute song, not just about how much you love the girl, but more about what she does from their observations. I guess, now that I think of it, it's a bit stalker-y, but still cute. As for the misheard lyrics.... "She must be heaven sent".... I thought it was something completely different until maybe 2014?! Let's just say "heaven" sounds like havin' with a country accent, and given the rest of the lyrics around that part.... (the line before is "I can't stop wonderin' what it would feel like, to hold her all night" Sooooo.... As for the duo, I wonder who's Love and who's Theft. |
| Okay, before I even get started, WHO POSTED "ONE TIN SOLDIER"?! I feel like I went through all the posts... but still didn't see it. Somehow, I know that song. But I swear I've never heard the entirety before until now. Anyways.... [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] This just makes me wanna DANCE!  I could probably choreograph something, though it'd look so much better with someone else performing it. I'll just teach it.  It's probably the beat, but I'm imagining The Next Step doing their Regional's routine, "Stutter", to this song. I wish there was a video, but none of them are available in the US.  I may have to get another premium Hulu and download the video somehow. Here's the song, though! [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] BACK TO LA ROUX: I first heard "Bulletproof" on the plane, and it was MUCH less upbeat than this video was. Maybe it's because I was on a plane? I have no clue. But I loved it anyways. Today was actually the first time I've seen the video. I didn't have unsupervised internet access until sophomore(?) year, so I wasn't big on music videos until then. Speaking of videos... her(?!) hair is so stiff. I wonder how much product it takes to hold it up. |
