Creation Saturday!

If you could fix any problem facing the world today, how would you do it?

How would I do it? and what problem? Both answers: Beats me. 3 biggest problems in the world right now (to me): lack of decent politicians, global warming, and the US economy. *Pthb*
I have no clue how to fix the first or the last problem. Maybe the second one... start being more environmentally friendly? recycle, use more natural light instead of electric lights, all that good stuff.
Speaking of which, I need to turn in my Chinese monologue! Okay, that's it from me. *Laugh*

And one more not-so-pressing issue- the lack of tween-sized clothing that isn't made for 10-year-olds! *Facepalm* It's sad to go shopping sometimes because the adult sizes are a bit big and the kids' stuff is too small. Cotton On in Australia is nice in the sense that they just started a new brand, Free, for those in-between sizes. I (un)fortunately do not live in Australia right now! (unfortunate because I can't get my size, fortunate because then I don't have to spend all my money! *Laugh*)

On this day (November 6th) in 1913, Mohandas K. Gandhi was arrested as he led a march of Indian miners in South Africa. Are you a peaceful protester, or...otherwise? If there were a cause you were willing to march for (personal, political, or completely made-up), what would it be?

I am most DEFINITELY a peaceful protester. Or, I guess you could say I protest against protests. *Laugh*
Hmm. I marched in a parade when I was very young. *Bigsmile* the annual Christmas Pageant, I'm pretty sure. *Delight* Young, as in before I moved to the US, young.

As for the real marching.... Maybe free education? *Confused* Lower airfare? *Laugh* I dunno. *Pthb*

Pick three authors- two who have written books you've read, and one from WDC- and construct your idea of 'The Perfect Writer' compiled of your favorite traits of theirs.

Ugh, seriously?! Okay... here goes. The perfect author:

Do your research! Go to locations and bask in the culture if you're writing about real places.
Be entertaining. *Bigsmile* Doesn't have to be funny, can be mysterious, adventurous, etc.
If you stick to one type of genre, try turning it on its head. *Bigsmile* Like Matthew Reilly did with The Great Zoo of China. He used a female protagonist instead of his usual male one.
It's okay to be silly! If your aim is to be comedic, silliness is encouraged. *Ha* don't be afraid to get a little *Crazy* either!

Matthew Reilly's the only name I'm going to name. I think I pulled traits from a bunch of people, not just three specifically. Plus, as my title says, nobody's perfect. So Fivesixer I'm going to challenge this prompt and say "The perfect writer" does NOT exist! *Smirk*

"Imagine you're Cinderella and tell us how you danced at the ball."

Well. I'd obviously be a very unconventional Cinderella. I do love a nice ball gown, buut if I were in heels, I'd be a walking/dancing disaster. SO, I'll be wearing a cute maxi dress instead. *Bigsmile* Alongside my kick-butt 3-4-inch heeled-boots. *Delight*
I'm assuming this ball will be playing pop songs. I do NOT do classical music. *Sick* I've had enough of that with piano as is! So, pop music. Delta Goodrem's "Sitting on Top of the World"- I'd do the dance to that. The video is attached below for reference. *Ha* Maybe I'd do a bit of tap. The Cups song or something. And... some 90's stuff, some current stuff, like Walk the Moon's "Shut Up and Dance", and plenty of Taylor Swift. I've been trying- note the TRYING- hip hop/modern, just a little bit, so I might bring out what I've observed from other classes and Youtube videos and such.

See? totally unconventional. *Laugh*

Come up with a fake news headline...something you'd see in a checkout line tabloid at the grocery store. Convince us that it's something we should believe.

Something we should believe? How about...
Science proves sitting on your bed is actually good for you! *Shock2*

article synopsis: A science experiment, conducted at University of Impossible Discoveries, proves that sitting on your bed, all day, doing nothing is beneficial to your health. Lab results say, by sitting on your bed, you are burning calories by sitting or breathing, or typing on your computer or devices. Assuming one does not eat, or eats moderately little, this can now be considered exercise.

Music Monday!

What's your go-to, adrenaline rush, good mood music?

That's easy. Hi-5. hands down (or up, should I say! *Hand1* *Wink* ) See? I'm about to go to bed, but now you've got me in for a round of Hi-5. Who knows how long that will last? *Pthb*
I just clicked "mix", and this came up:

(Un?!)fortunately, it's also one of my "favorite" songs.... "favorite", as in if I had to pick 1 or two from each series/season (they call it series, but we're seasons) they have. *Facepalm* *Whistle*

"How much would not having internet access for an extended period of time impact your life?"
WELL. First, we'd have to define "extended period of time", and then figure out what "time" that "time" is. *Pthb* Yeah, I'm getting technical! I can go without internet for all of summer break, and used to do so until 8th grade-ish, when we had summer homework for Honors classes and needed to go online to access it! Okay, maybe not 8th grade, because I remember playing on the Miss O and Friends   website. I still have my account from elementary school. *Shock2* *Laugh* I even played it in high school when I had a free period... and then cashed in my points for tickets and actually WON stuff. *Delight* I've gotten a Hannah Montana CD (middle school) and the Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure Nintendo DS game (high school). *Laugh* It was pretty cool. I rocked at the games- especially jigsaw puzzles and Harlie's Hazardous City 2. *Ha*
*Rolling* So if anyone has actually read the Miss O books and/or has an account on there, I'm bigwheels (stolen from another book series I used to read! Kudos if you can name it!). *Wink*
ANYWAYS, I'm pretty sure I digress. No, assuming it was summer, and I didn't have internet access, I should be okay. You just need to tell me so I can prepare. Not prepare, but know in advance. I don't bode well with surprises like that! *Pthb*

(and I promise this song will be the last one I listen to tonight. Afterwards, I SLEEP. *Sleeping*)

Queen turned country.*Shock* Okay, seriously, I don't like Queen. *Rolleyes* But I DO love The Band Perry, so this was a "hmm, let's see what this is" sort of thing. My ruling: it's not horrible, and maybe even a bit enjoyable. *Laugh* Definitely an interesting spin to a hardcore rock song!

I wouldn't mind going to detention if this was really what it was composed of. *Laugh* Seriously! Cool choreography and sneaking around school halls-I don't mind! *Bigsmile* And the scene with the principal and the toilet paper was funny. *Bigsmile* Apparently A*Teens is an ABBA tribute band. *shrugs* Never heard of them, but that's what wkipedia says. A swedish ABBA Tribute band. A young version of ABBA, maybe?

This is just cool. I've never heard of this band before, but I googled up "best covers" or something, and this came up. Thought I'd give it a watch, and I really liked it! The choreography was pretty neat and while the video was meh, I thought it was an original spin on the song.

Okay, only 3 more days, right? Good! I know I'm behind...

[Embed For Use By Upgraded+]

Hehehe. The original was Carl Douglas, I haven't heard of him, and I doubt he's still performing. *Pthb*
I had an *Idea* moment this morning because I saw an old-new T-shirt from Hong Kong's Ocean Park- and there was a Kung Fu Panda (2?) attraction- a kung fu class for kids. *Laugh* and I went to go pick up Mom's cooler today, and I started humming this in the car. And I realized, this qualifies as another soundtrackers track. *Laugh*
