Review of My Wish

Rated: E | (4.0)
A pathetic poem depicting how mother cares extremely for her son. She is preparing herself morally for the departure of her boy but still cannot disguise this suffering with joy. Only the presence of her child means a lot to the mother. The child is a victim of an incurable disease. Even then she wishes to live the last moments with him

Review of A Pet Shop Visit
Review by Boz
Rated: 13+ | (4.0)
Interesting poem describing how the pet came home from the store and despite all precautions taken by the owner it finally succumbs. The fellow is so engrossed in its admiration that he hardly believes in its death. We see the importance of pets in our life. The movements of the fish in the bowl is accurately painted. To wipe out his sorrow he gets another fish from the store.

Funny poem portraying how the sheriff abused of his power to exploit the weaknesses of other people. We see how Lolly Pop makes use of his authority to seduce Samantha, a girl much younger than him. He tried all means to trap the girl but he failed. The girl avoided him every time. Finally, the sheriff was eliminated by Samantha through the sex organ. Indeed, we learn a good lesson never to abuse one's authority.

Review of Friendship Lost
Review by Boz
Rated: E | (3.5)
Good poem mourning over friendship. It is a salient fact one suffers after having lost a true friend. There are always obstacles in the road of amity. Trust and honesty are the best policy for a durable relationship. But sometimes there are evil forces at work to split this friendship which lead to distrust and lack of confidence.

Sunday is a holiday. The only day when the whole family is at home together. An appropriate poem paying tribute to that special day. A day for rejoicing and entertainment. A day for a break from the routine of life. A day when schools and offices are closed. But not all people get the opportunity to enjoy it. Some persons like me have to work on Sundays. Long live Sunday!

Review of Blest Child
Review by Boz
Rated: E | (4.0)
A poem illustrating the happiness brought by the arrival of a new guest in the family. Indeed, it is a moment of great ecstasy and euphoria surrounding the family. In fact, all arrangements are made prior to the arrival of the newborn. There is a complete alteration in the environment. However, the parents must be prepared to face difficult situations also. Babies mean both happiness and troubles.

Review of I Love You
Review by Boz
Rated: E | (3.5)
A poem expressed in the simplest way to declare love to the beloved one. But the words convey many feelings and thoughts to the partner. The smile depicts that the lover is the happiest person on earth. The poem transmits a message of sublimation in love. The sparkle of love kindles the fire of love. However, the reader does not see the reaction of the opposite partner.

Review of Trial
Review by Boz
Rated: 13+ | (4.0)
It seems to be a competition between the women to become the apprentice . There is a tussle and even blood spilling between the three to get the woman. Finally only the strongest one survives. I get the impression that there is lesbianism with the licking of fur.

A good piece of fiction describing how a father is trying to protect his child who had been deserted. But at certain points of the story the reader does not understand clearly what is actually happening. It needs a little more simplification and refining as regards the portraying of the characters.

Incomplete words and sentences which are sometimes confusing. Only one 'e' letter is missing. Is this an innovative style? I do not understand the real meaning of this piece of writing. Perhaps the writer can give more details whether it is a monologue by Sylvia or simply a reflection.

Review of Able

Rated: 13+ | (3.5)
Few words explaining many things. The reader admires the bravery of the girl who puts her courage in her both hands and darts forward in spite of danger behind her. The souvenir is used as support to proceed ahead without panicking. But the author has not given us any details about the type of danger and its origin.

Rated: E | (3.5)
A poem relating how the cowboys were spending time after work.It is probably referring to olden days when there was no other entertainment. It was a moment of relaxation and merry making. They must be having a nice time telling jokes and stories. But nowadays there are modern forms of entertainment and pastime.

Review of Gatsby
Review by Boz
Rated: E | (3.5)
A poem evocative of the past. It depicts how the chap was enveloped with happiness when there was love all around. But now there is feeling of nostalgia. The word beginning comes as a leitmotiv throughout the poem. The reader can feel the suffering of the lover when he is living in the present. He/she wants to turn time back.

Review of Canvas of Mind
Review by Boz
Rated: E | (4.0)
The poem is well illustrated with the mysteries of the universe. We see that everything functions according to the preset rules and regulations of the cosmos. The Creator has provided a perfect coordination for the smooth running of the world. Indeed, it is beyond our mind to explain each and every detail of the system. Even science has failed to understand this mystery. All these happenings prove the existence of God.

A poem paying tribute to the sea and its contents. A marvelous portray of the ocean with the splashing of waves and foam. It underlines the importance of the sea which serves as a companion to man in loneliness. By observing it the individual can achieve tranquility and peace of mind. It is an escapism in the world of mystery.

Review of the same moon
Review by Boz
Rated: E | (3.5)
A romantic poem illustrated with the moon used as a metaphor. In fact, in certain cultures it symbolizes love. Just like the moon brings light around and illuminates the earth in the same way love reflects light and happiness in the life of man. Although the title is moon very little mention is made about it throughout the poem.

Review of Aces over eights
Review by Boz
Rated: E | (4.0)
A good poem reminding us of the action- packed Western films. The activities are conspicuously painted. We see how the different protagonists are trying to overcome each other to rule the roost. The images of guns, pistols and the sharing of money indicate the forthcoming violence. But there is no actual portraying of fighting. It transposes us in the era of gangsters.

Review of My Home
Review by Boz
Rated: E | (4.0)
Interesting poem illustrating the home of dream. We get a wonderful glimpse of the natural setting where the home is located. The area is beautifully described. It allows the reader to fly away into a world of fantasy where everything looks ideal. The line of demarcation between the city and the countryside is clearly drawn. But it needs some elaboration about pollution in cities.

.A poem carrying us in the past. The flashback makes the author feels good. A revival of the childhood period which will never return. Feelings of nostalgia. Those were the days. No more western films. I don't find the name of John Wayne. Simply forgotten perhaps

A completely new form of poetry looking somehow complicated but the topic is interesting. It analyses the importance of time. Time should be spent judiciously because it is more precious than gold. The golden time never comes back. The evolution of time is synonym of the end of life and the world.

Review of Emergence
Review by Boz
Rated: 13+ | (4.0)
A poem reflecting how the person concerned has been able to overcome his/ her depression. Now he/she looks cheerful and approaches the future with a brighter prospect. The situation seems to be under control. By trying to view things positively the possibility of a relapse is almost nil. But great attention must be paid to the mood and surrounding. With the support of family and friends it becomes easier. Keep it up.

A good poem laying emphasis on the function of the staircase. It outlines the various places where we can come across the staircase. It ha s witnessed several events and many footsteps have passed through it but it has been able to withstand all of them. However, the author has not mentioned anything about its durability and date of building.
