Review of My Way  Open in new Window.
Review by embe Author IconMail Icon
Rated: E | (5.0)
O if only
I had the mind
to write poetry
like Clarens's

nature in a garden
murky and morbid
dancing in a cloud

wet, yet to ponder
where may I walk
the rain hailing

a wind to howl
now lingering
wet to ponder.

My feeble attempt
at a review that is beyond me
to compare it with this super poem.

O to see the Salmond Toad
playing away on the road;
with a Pig Frog Deer
all wet and shaking
trying to dry himself;
for the spirituality
by a Green Frog
of energy.

A thought to wonder why
is this my imagination;
or the Salmons wit
of wisdom, for all
the little animals
travelling home
on the road.

A tiny poem
inspired by Michelle Berardo Klear;
telling a beautiful story for children to read.

O to be a Jay
beneath a canopy of trees
the pines so tall to touch the sky
where a lovely Jaya finds her peace
wearing rainbow colored flowers
kissed by the sun and the sea
shining blue with sequins
to light her smile.

My thanks in a poem
inspired by a beautiful image
written with feeling by a lady Jaya.

O to be a little brooke
a pretty girl
lovely like a lily all pink
shy and silly
lazily lying in the sun;
a best friend
but sometimes dirty
for me to wash
with a sprinkler spinning.

A little poem
from the dainty picture
painted by the poet Brooke.

On a journey through a page
I heard her whisper softly!
"I'm but a countrymom
passing through life
without a partner;
who died away
in my heart;
now lost
forever."

Confused, I bowed my knee
to say a prayer for this lady;
the broken - hearted soul
that many people know
to be so kind to them;
with her love to write
and review others
like me, embe
to write this!

O to have wings to fly
to see God's black wing
soaring clear out of sight;
flying away to our dreams
where we feel we can cope
away from the wall that is fake;
where many have quit their dreams.

To Ken, the writer of note
on a page that I found
with a poem to his child;

his daughter to smile
smelling the flower
held in her hand;

with an inquisitive look;
a question on her face
to beam with a smile;

Hey Dad, how lovely
to be your little girl;
knowing you love me
with this pretty flower.

A tiny poem from your great poem.

Thanks for the review,
embe

Nice to see you are presenting a story line in this free form poem ,that follows your thoughts to present it in stanzas, standing on their own.

One suggestion as follows -

"But even now my sobs are deaf to your ears"

Write on to delight us.

Review of FIELDS OF VERSE  Open in new Window.

In fields of verse
I see many a poem
by a proud sponsor;
a warrior of old
bold enough to say!

"Shishad is my name
with folders, filled
a variety of poems
in themes to read
and dream away;

to yesterdays
writing, to be
young and gay;
so beautiful a sight
at a campfire's night."

A poem to a Lady I know;
helping me find my way
to write poetry today.

In the park so grey
the snow idly lays
beneath the trees
waiting for spring
and little children
to come and play
their new games
for summer days
taught by Aralls
the new teacher
for the playgroup
who loves to say!
"Be careful today
swaying too fast
to hurt yourself."

My little poem -
from your inspiring words
of the playground in the snow.

Hello Richard,

Your lovely poem, so easy to read as it runs along, like the pitter patter of little feet, for you to hold him high and squeeze a loving kiss.

One day when Joshua is older, he will remember this poem with fond memories, in honour of you who wrote it.

Telling it in a story to his friends, of how much you love him.

Sad to say it won't happen for me, but I'm Ok now.

Hello Ann,
I salute you for writing a lovely poem, in honour of the brave fallen soldiers of old.
Herewith my review in a tiny poem, inspired by your words that stir
the heart to cry.

Men of old
fallen blasted and torn
lying weeping as they die,
clutching the swaying poppies.

Their hope to rise
victorious from the muddy fields;
seeing the poppies raging to stop the war
for brave men to be born anew, trying to live again.

And God said!
Amen!

Richard, I agree with you to tell the world, that a man can see the light when I decide to shine it, least expected on a railway line.

Saul, now Paul heading straight to church, to cry the story of how he found his Saviour, to be the best friend he ever had.
Never having been taught it as a lonely beaten child, wanting to go to Sunday School with his friends.

Thank you my friend for telling it.

To Nikki D89 To go for gold and win
2008 Nort star Rising star contest.

The wonderful story of hope and death
when you cannot hear where you are
and a car takes you away to nowhere
lost in a dream from where you came
as a child to frighten a dear browsing
in a clearing from a bullet from a rifle
your father trying to see it more clearly
now not able to shoot and kill it dead
like Ricky's hand lying limp with a coin.

My tribute to you for this fine story.

O to know the joy of a poem
written with love to tell the story
searching the signs of its realization;
the hand of God with a pen to write of his glory
drowning out the voices of fear to be transformed.

My tribute to you in a poem from your inspiring writing.

O to understand the cause of pain
when love scars the one it owns;
from years of frenzied courtship,

intertwined in each others arms;
the need to be wanted as i did
to fulfill and find myself whole.

in a lovers poem, written in pain.

I stopped when seeing a star -
An angelarose to meet me
greeting in words of faith;

to tell me of her love for God,
who sent his son! "Jesus
to be our saving Saviour."

I am the son of my father
to write it in a poem
that you reviewed.

May God bless and welcome you, to write for us.

O to know a Del
with a crush to cry.
I love my Eileen from school
to be a Greek statue in my mind,
with long brown braided hair, the color brown.
Star smitten seeing her forty years later, my heart beating faster,
a disaster staring at me, she is a Catholic that I may not marry without a ring.

A little poem to console you.

O for a bob
to meet Jaspher
ice fishing,
chasing girls
for a bottle
of something,
smelling fishy;

some smelt
in a bucket
half hidden
from his eye;
to see him
the officer
arrest him.

Goodness knows
why he went fishing
to try and lay a girl?

Only a countrymom
could write a poem
upon a page to say
what love means.

To end in lonliness
a struggle to be free
of heartache and pain
now only memories.

Just passing through
to a new day tomorrow
there to find peace
and happiness again.

O to be Jay
flying around freely;
the bird with a sweet song
to sing of love and romance
for our world to be a brighter place;
where a lovely lady waits to write a story
of heartbreak that sometimes drifts bleakly by,
into our distant past, to realise it was all a dream.

A poem for Jaye
the lovely lady, I met today.

O to be a Judy the compassionate one
to tell of dreams of yesterday
when she was young
her parents to hold
close to her
lovingly,
but now older
to see them not so well
but still to love them in the the nursing home
celebrating Christmas with Bill
to hold her hand
shaking now
to cry
why?

My prayer for you
to see them
well.
