What? Are you talking about? A red jem or a ruby that can bring the dead alive? I am telling ya, I gave this a 5 star because you caught my attention with the brilliance, but I do think I am lost on the meaning. Poetry can mean so many different things and only the writer really knows the real story. Interesting to say the least!

Thank you for your entry in the "Invalid Item" 

I Judge on the following three items:

1. Follow the prompt. I like your twist on this picture. It is more about the couple and less about the "romance" and I like that.


2. Easy to Read. Oh you got me with the twist. I think this could have been a very scary outcome and I'm glad you didn't go down that road. It is so amazing how fast kids can get away. I like the lesson in this.


3. Errors/grammar. I am not an editor, so for me to find mistakes, they must really stand out. I only found one, in the line were Joey is saying sorry to his sister, you have made amends, but I think you mean make amends.

Okay, let me get this right;..You like fish? You know they come from deep water? You think maybe fish can tell you something that you can not learn from man? I don't know if I'm getting that all right, but fish have been around a heck of a long time, so maybe they do know how to get a long. This poem needed a cute sig! Man, after 20 some years of marriage, I have been here and done that! I don't even know if we even send valentines cards anymore. It just lost it's magic along the way. You think it will never happen. So happy and "in-love" So sure, that what you have is going to be brilliant forever. Well I have learned the hard way, that only happens if you put everything you have in it. And some days...we are just too tired to care. It sucks but it's honest. Sad for sure! I admire this kind of emotional poetry and I am glad that Simply Positive highlighted it. I think I need to try harder!!

Okay it was not easy finding a poem, I haven't reviewed! I was surprised this little celebration of happiness skipped me befofe. I tell you this is a fun poem to read. I can relate to it and understand that it was written for a contest, but it would stand alone even with that. What I admire about this poem, is your ability to show in words emotions that are often hard to describe. You place a love that is viewed from a distance. Thank you for sharing your secret of poetry. I think in the second line you mean, my lips and not mine, but hey I could be way off, I just think it sounds better. Well it is a good thing you said this was fictional! It sure don't read like fiction! It reads like reality and someone that has been hurt by a cheating and unfaithful man, a man that used his love in all the wrong ways! I think too many can relate to this kind of poetry of hate. First of all, I pray this is Fiction! Secondly, I can't believe I could read it all. It is so upsetting on so many levels and not the light kind of reading I enjoy. However the real sadness and reality is that the voice of the writer begs to be heard. It was a voice I could not ignore. I didn't expect that ending but yet it makes sense in this twisted dark way. Nice tie in with the dark ink of happiness on the walls. What a great description. Write on!

Wow oh wow! Now I will be completely honest. I never have the attention span for anything longer then 1000 words. I am a little shocked that you kept me the whole time. Your story line, your descriptions and most of all your writing is interesting. It is on many levels. I like the background setting and that the bishop is dishonest. I feel sorry for Willie but know he is going to be okay. Not sure what is going to happen to Jess and Carol, but they are going to be a part of this. You bring a fresh approach to a topic that could be very boring. You either believe in God or you don't. I think you have the start of something wonderful, so never give up on this story.

Right now I am going to school to get my masters of mental health counseling. I am only learning about several disorders now. I also have suffered from Anxiety and my son has bipolar and anxiety. I think it runs in my family. I am not sure what you have planned for this group, but if I could be of any help at all, please ask. It will be interesting to see what you have planned. 2. Easy to Read. It was easy to read, but also hard to know just what was going on in that train car and just what she had to do to feed her daughter. You gave just the right amount of details.


3. Errors/grammar. I am not an editor, so for me to find mistakes, they must really stand out.
You just need a one more sweep for editing. I noticed you have new for knew in the second para. I believe that was all that stood out.
