It sounds so easy, but finding the one and not feeling pain is not easy! I believe this could be a powerful poem if you correct the spelling...realized. Otherwise it is strong emotional writing and that is just the kind I like!

I have to say, I had to read this over and over several times. I have the feeling that your the mummy under wraps at the spa, but yet, I am not hundred percent sure if that is correct, or just my wishful thinking! Oh how I remember being sixteen and feeling this way, heck at times in my 40's I have as well. We all hide behind a smile afraid to show the real us. The one that is pained, flawed... not perfect. I am not sure why we do that, only it is a pattern that can be broken. We are only as alone as we want to be. I have learned we have people all around us that need contact from us. I enjoyed this poem and Thank you for sharing it.

I love boys and I am lucky to be married to one and have a 7 year old! Boys in my life rock and I love that this iss a memo to mom's to love their sons and also to know that someday they let them go to love other's. When I wanted to come looking to review you for the Showering Acts of Joy group, I couldn't believe all the poetry I have already read in your port, so I was so happy to see you had something fresh for me to read. I love this. It is beyond my hope to write a tale like this. It is more story and less poetry, yet you pull it all in and in shape too! The message, the pull of the sea and the whales call. It is breath taking and awesome to imagine it all in my mind. I can't say Wow enough!!

On any given day God shows you your soul and today sounds like the first time you were really paying attention! I love this. It might be different then you are used to writing, but still it has the essence of you and your transformation. I think you should get outside more! LOL>... You have the start of a very interesting and fun read. I like your character, she is spunky and guilty and has reason to forgive herself. You have set this up well. I do have to say it needs some editing. In the first paragraph you have know when it should be now. You have some tenses that are wrong, if you are talking, then you need to keep it in that tense. Just little things that with a second glance you should be able to spot the few mistakes you have, otherwise you are right on and good luck.

Oh I am so glad you told me this was about a misscarriage, now that I have that information this makes so much more sense and you cleared up the puncuation and this really is a 5 star poem now. I can't believe the difference in just knowing what you are talking about and having the indent of the baby pink is really a clever idea. Now I get what is missing. The baby!! Yes, this is still long and deep but so must the pain be. I get it. Maybe you should put that in the description, as wind really has nothing to do with losing the pink balloon does it?

I have to say, I really like dark poetry, but I like to know what I am reading about. I am afraid this poem has left me clueless. I mean you have a ton of words here and I get that something is important...but I am totally missing your message. I am not a stickler for rules and I believe poetry should come from the heart, but some caps on the I's would be nice. I wish I could understand this. this must be something very private.

You know when I get a request to read something of yours, I am never sure what I will find...but I can't wait to find out!

Now this was stunning. You have such a way with spinning a tale and making a scene come alive. The garden blowed with dust, the boy and his jeans, but what I didn't get and that took some time is that you made mom seem like such an old woman and yet she had a teenage son. I suppose she was aged with hard work and grief but she seemed older then her years by your description. I wouldn't change it, but wanted to point out that I could really feel her age. You amaze me. I wish you a ton of success in this contest!

So why? What is keeping the distance? What is it that makes the dream impossible? It is more then being apart...something here is missing and I am not sure what it is. You have desire, lust and a great description, but something is still missing...I love your ending stanza, but even that can't capture what is really happening in this poem.
