Review of Phenomenal women
Review by MDuci
Rated: 18+ | (2.5)
Hello Smiley14u,

I admit that I had to read this story twice before recognizing that something didn't quite go here! That these are the words of a famous woman writer of which you did not even give a mention. You cannot assume that because you change a word or two that the writing becomes yours with out it being a quote, unquote. Its my feeling that you should go back over this piece and put it in your own words. Or at least give credit where credit is due.
Sincerely

PHENOMENAL WOMAN
by Maya Angelou

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies
I'm not cute or built to suit a model's fashion size
But when I start to tell them
They think I'm telling lies.
I say
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips
The stride of my steps
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please
And to a man
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees
Then they swarm around me
A hive of honey bees.
I say
It's the fire in my eyes
And the flash of my teeth
The swing of my waist
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say
It's in the arch of my back
The sun of my smile
The ride of my breasts
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say
It's in the click of my heels
The bend of my hair
Hello smiley14U,

The palm of my hand
The need for my care.
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenal woman
That's me.

Hello Wolf,

This a beautiful and haunting piece, which tells me the story of one nearing death as we know it, far from home family or friends. It is not their wish to die, and he begs to live for today and leave him his life until tomorrow, when he may be stronger and regain his life. Written with much knowledge and wisdom a great writing and wonderful read, thank you for sharing and welcome to Writing.Com.

Hello Penciljocky,

The cycle of life is such a beautiful inspiration of the nature of earth and its abounding habitat.

You've filled your canvas with the entire spectrum of varied colors splashing them across the vastness of your huge canvas. Your mixture was a pure delight and I changed with each different color scheme, according to the season.

Thank you for this perfect picture, and welcome to Writng.Com.

Review of Silence

Hi Sara,

This is an amazing story put to poetry, the vain of it rings like that of S.King. The story is eerie to the point that I've seen something that it reminds me of I just can't remember what it is.

Your visuals are so real, and I could see them ever so clearly each and everyone. Great story good read.

Dear Pascale,

One of the saddest things in life after Apartheid is that there is still so much stigma, and dogma that will not end maybe in our life time. The last vestiges of the apartheid system were finally outlawed, with the election of Nelson Mandala, but it is not so simply to remove it from the minds,of those who suffered so cruelly.

Apartheid may never end as far as the people who saw what it did to their love ones, or friends but someday there will come to pass a change in attitude and hope will rise. Thank you for caring and sharing, for the burdens are not yours but everyone’s.

Hello braddock,

This was truly an inspiring poem. It goes to show that no man is an Island and that all things are subject to change.

That man could have at one time in his life been the richest man alive, and with in the blink of eye all that you own could be gone.

Whenever I see someone down and out, I also think; 'There for the Grace of God' go I.' Thank you for sharing and welcome to Writing.Com.
Have a wonderful day.

Dear Lostinthought,

What a beautiful inspiring story of the loss of a beautiful child.

A loss that every parent who has ever lost a child can only know; but the grace and goodness of love, and that very special gift from above will forever be burned into the hearts and mind of all that knew and
loved her for the time she blessed them with her presence.

Thank you for sharing and welcome to Writing.Com.

Review of My Twin
Review by MDuci
Rated: ASR | (4.5)
Hello Nakmeister,

You said a lot in just 100 words, you told a very clear story on you and your twin, and the relationship you share with one another. Funny how that is you can't be with them and you can't live with out them. It only gets better after many more years. I really love this
line.

'Despite everything however I would be hopelessly lost without my shadow.'

Hi Whome,

What a little cutie, I really like how you played with the words in this little poem.

I like how you brought your readers right into the bathroom with the puppy. I think if I had to choose a favorite line or stanza it would be this one:

'He would climb in my lap
And shake and he’d shiver,
He’d whimper and cower,
And whine and quiver.
But the noise is so loud now
He’s heading for the door,'

Thank you for sharing and keep writing.
Warm wish’s, and congratulations again on winning.

Hello Whome,

Congratulations on being the winner of the Auction for Raok. I'm going to be reading and reviewing four of your poems and from one of them I will select the one in which I'll award the Awardicon.

I like this poem even though it is somewhat dark I can see that it is only temporary. This is a period of darkness, but a point was made that it was somewhat by choice that that this person wished to be left alone. I hope that the time came and better days lay ahead, great insight and great poem.

Hi DP,

This is so very touching, and lovely to read. I can see the tears of joy in my grandfathers eyes as he looks up at the flag of the USA, or when he heard the National Anthem played . He loved his own flag as much, but he adored the 'RED WHITE AND BLUE.' Thank you for sharing this poem and for bring back such precious memories of the past.
I enjoy your work so very much, it is "Chicken Soup for the Soul."

I certainly hope that they did survive the storm.
This was so lovely and like the Orchid very exotic.

I also like the lovely color that transpires with in this piece. The picture that comes across to me is one of a very beautiful child who needs the care and patience of an adoring parent as they learn to fly.

Thank you so much for sharing this painting and welcome to Writing.Com.

Review of Mother In Law

Hello Georgina,

What a wonderful daughter-in-law you are. How proud it must make her feel to know that she is a mother and a friend. I hear this from my daughter in-laws and it does feel so good to be their friend and mother. I'm proud of the women my sons married and even prouder of how they are rising their own children to have the same respect for their future mother in-law.
Thank you for sharing and welcome to Writing.Com.

Hi Diane,

I'm so happy I read this today! It just really made my
day, I know I'll have a big smile on my face for the rest of this day.

Sometimes we small cases are a little intimidated by these big Blue, Purple and Red cases. We feel a little scared to stop by for a visit just in case we need an appointment or their may not be a welcome sign stating that all are welcome.

Well I now know that is just a myth because you have a very big welcome sign and so many wonderful items here to read. I'll be telling all my friends to stop by, and take a look around they may like what they see.

By the way congratulations on becoming 'RED'.

Dear Sherri,

How did I miss this one? I've researched your port
over and over, many, many times. But maybe I was to see this one when the moment was right*Smile*. And I guess this is the right time.

I can certainly relate to this beauty each and every
word. Your poetry is always so uplifting and so wonderfully genuine. These my dear friend are my favorite lines they ring bells in my heart:

'My heart I give freely with no demands
Hold it tenderly, for it is now in your hands
Fragile it is, yet strong when need be
A gift given to you, extended by me'

Thank you so much for sharing.

Dear mrsChips,

Thank you for this wonderful little reminder that life and age don't change how you feel inside, just how you look on the outside. I cannot express that to friends and family enough! It's not how long you live it's how you live that makes the difference. See it all don't do tomorrow what you can do today, because tomorrow is not promised. Thank you for sharing and a warm welcome to Writing.Com. I look forward to reading more from your site very soon.

Review of Flight
Review by MDuci

Hello R. Scott Robison,

Your painting is certainly one I could hang on my walls! It captures the essence of all the beauty
that surrounds us and takes us on a breath taking journey. I could visualize myself paragliding, even skydiving across Lake Ellsinore a few short miles from where I live in California. The world looks so beautiful from way up here. Your visual is so colorful and so very real.

I think you did a wonderful job of incorporating the,

' Stream of consciousness' the,

'Alexandrin' and the,

'Haiku'

To show the beauty of your piece from Stream to Dream.

Thank you for sharing, and welcome to Writing.Com.
