blog of a person who seems to be invisible...
ok.. so I'm taking a next step in my life. I'm improving on myself. I'm going down this path i am on, thanks to God. I now attend a church regularly, and I like its small confines in a church building i attended nearly 40 years ago. To me it is surreal.

Do i know whats ahead, or even where I am going? no, not at all. to be honest it scares me, but I need to step out of my fear and take charge of my life, and live it the way I and God want me to be. where ever this path goes, I'm sticking it out to the end. I feel it is a testament to who I am.
I am learning more and more everyday about myself. and improving, also trying to make amends for past mistakes.
But one can only make amends for mistakes where there was mistakes to begin with, if people don't want to listen then that is their fault, and their loss. I wont go where im not wanted and I know I am a good man, if you don't.. well that's too bad so sad for you...

Day 902: Wednesday, May 6, 2015
Prompt: I Remember Mama/Mother

I remember my mother on my first day of school. She was remarkably happy and sad at the same time, I had on a nice suit, of which I loved getting dressed up in a suit and tie, always have, and my sister had a nice dress on. I remember school back then were very different than they are now. In fact its almost like night and day.

My mom was a school bus driver almost longer than I could imagine, and before that a hair dresser. she was very proud of her kids going to school, now keep in mind that this was in the town of Billerica, ma., and this was the early 70's I believe. seeing my mom smile and happy was the best memory I have of her.

DAY 898 May 2, 2015

Prompt: Who do you think is overrated? It can be a specific person, a group, a profession, or anything else you can think of that is overrated.

who do I believe is over rated? I don't believe any one person is over rated, but sometimes working for a big company is over rated, as everybody wants things done fast, cheap, and safe but needless to say that those terms aren't always able to be used together.

For me... I work with trains and unloading of rail cars of rock... safe is the priority... always; however the company wants the cars unloaded fast, the problem is fast isn't safe... and cheap isn't safe or fast... so there really is no winner in this argument.

But I think working for a big company is definitely overrated...

April is a promise that May is bound to keep. - Hal Borland
What is April's promise that May has to keep? Write a story, poem, rant, or opinion piece.

April showers bring may flowers is a good promise to bring to the table. As a gardener, I recognize the importance of having the rain showers water your garden, especially with the opinion that the rain is better water for gardening, it is alot purer water than we could get from any tap in the world.

But april showers can bring on a good case of the blues and it would be amiss of me not to mention that with the blues of the april showers, the may flowers do usually bring me out of the blue funk that the showers do put me in sometimes.

One of my favorite things is to plant seeds and watch the plants that have the miricale of growing from the seeds, fight their way to the surface and the grow nice and strong providing whatever God has them providing. it always makes me smile.

God bless,
David

Day 893: Monday, April 27, 2015

April 27 is Tell a Story day in the United States. Scotland and England celebrate this day on October 27.
Prompt: Celebrate Tell a Story Day by telling a story it can be fiction, non-fiction, a tall tale, or folk lore. If you want you can tell a story about why the British holiday and the U.S. holiday are exactly six months apart.

Here's a story for you all. It started a long time ago, in a village in the foothills of the Navee mountain range on the content of the Ameurs. there existed a tribe of humans, of which they have no name. there language has never been learned by anyone outside their people. This village has existed in this place for as long as any records had been kept.

In this village, there was one concept amongst these people... it was simply called peace. Everyone in the village lived by this code, and died by this code. They did fight and argue as all have before them, as all will do after them. Till one day a child was born to the leader of this village, a son. They were so proud of him because he is the first born son, and now heir to the throne of this village.

As he grew, through the years, he learned as all had before him, about the way of peace. And he learned as he needed to, he at time had his trouble but at the core of his being he knew what he believed. The young boy grew into a man. Taking a wife, when he found her, and having a child of his our. Then the day of sorrows came for him, as it did for everyone. His father passed away.

All their lives they were taught that the leader was a child of gods, and were born to rule. But in the death of his father, the young boy vanished and never was seen again, what remained, Was definitely not of this world, He was cold , callous ,and cruel to everybody, even his own family. And then one day he had his family killed but only after he was on the throne.

One day he was killed disciplining someone of this earth for something he should not have done. Who was this unknown man, the family never spoke to him again.

DAY 890 April 24, 2015

What are some things that you think about during the spring that you might not think about during other seasons? When do you do your most thinking during the day? Why is that your best thinking time?

as far as when I do my thinking the answer would best be formed in the form of a question.... when don't I? I have known I even think when I'm sleeping ,most nights anyway. In fact, most times my mind never stops thinking about this or that, or even the other thing.

But for the first part of the question today, for me? the answer is here in Florida its hard to know, except looking at the calendar, when winter ends and when spring begins, conversely we don't know when spring ends and summer begins, I blame this on the no change in seasons... and no snow...

Day 889: April 23, 2015

Prompt: What is your least favorite genre to read/write/review? What about your favorite? Why do you like/dislike these genres?

I really am different from most people as I do not have a least favorite genre that I like to read/write/review. I like them all. I think that offers me the greatest use of my talents. I enjoy being able to read/write/review anything that comes across my desk from me or whomever should send it. But If I had to tell you what my favorite genre is.... now that's simple.... the answer is science fiction and fantasy. why do I like these? now that's simple as well... the individual pieces either all alone or together is the best was of covering anything and everything that could be written and these areas offer the greatest use of anything and everything in their creation of work that appears in their designated genres.

today has been a bit of a trying day. Apparently, in trying to learn how to use the front end loader, there were a few things I should have been told its a little tiring considering it happens more and more often... I'm a little disappointed

DAY 887 April 21, 2015

In April in cities around the world, the celebration of Critical Mass is a disruptive occasion in which hundreds of bicyclists ride down the streets of major cities in packs to disrupt traffic. What would it be like to bike in this mass of people? What do you think is the purpose of this celebration and why?

I think, personally, it would be hard to bike in a crowd like that. I would be afraid that someone would inadvertently rub my tire and knock me off my bike and I'd get run over , plus I'd be afraid I couldn't keep up.

Personally, I think the purpose is to disrupt the normal goings on to bring attention to their point, be it good attention or bad, doesn't really matter. but I could come back and bite them all in the but later on, as it could lead to an arrest for something simple as not following the rules of the road.

Why? some people wish to highlight a cause that they believe in, some do it to protest something going on they don't like. While still others, I believe, just do it to be doing something, they have no rhyme or reason for it, they follow the crowd. That doesn't always work out for them because, if the crowd gets arrested for this thing, then so do they...

That's my thought.... and I'm sticking by it.

Day 886: Monday, April 20, 2015

Day 886: Monday, April 20, 2015
Prompt: April 20 is Volunteer Recognition Day when we recognize all those wonder and selfless people who volunteer their time and energy to help others. See http://holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/April/volunteerrecognitionday.htm for more information about this day. Write a Thank you letter to someone in your community, life, or organization that volunteers his or her time and energy to helping others.
to whom it may concern;

this letter is written to honestly praise you firefighters, police officers, paramedics and EMT's that are there throughout the daily grind of our lives. Mostly unappreciated in your thankless jobs, you are there each and everyday, whether you are needed or not. With all you all have to deal with, you now have to deal with soulless lawyers who could convince anyone to sue you at the drop of a hat, in conjunction with a system of law that seems to be nonfunctioning, you never could have enough praise given to you.

Quite a few years ago, I was a volunteer firefighter in my town, it was something that I truly enjoyed doing, helping people, and expecting nothing in return had its own rewards. I was a engineer of a class a pumper with a 1000 gallon water tank on it, so I know what you all are dealing with out there amongst the regular public. it is a thankless un ending job.

I just wanted to tell you all that even if there is only me out here who appreciates what you are doing, that's great because there is one less person out here not trying to take advantage of you and your services.

I humbly bow to those who are true heroes in every sense of the word.
