ok.. so I'm taking a next step in my life. I'm improving on myself. I'm going down this path i am on, thanks to God. I now attend a church regularly, and I like its small confines in a church building i attended nearly 40 years ago. To me it is surreal. Do i know whats ahead, or even where I am going? no, not at all. to be honest it scares me, but I need to step out of my fear and take charge of my life, and live it the way I and God want me to be. where ever this path goes, I'm sticking it out to the end. I feel it is a testament to who I am. I am learning more and more everyday about myself. and improving, also trying to make amends for past mistakes. But one can only make amends for mistakes where there was mistakes to begin with, if people don't want to listen then that is their fault, and their loss. I wont go where im not wanted and I know I am a good man, if you don't.. well that's too bad so sad for you... |
| DAY 963: Monday, July 6, 2015 Prompt: Write a letter of gratitude to your muse. I think the issue with my writing, is that I don't have a muse. I get my inspiration from myself, and others around me, but no one in particular. But I will try to do this prompt today. so... here goes: To my Muse, I am grateful of your presence near me, as I enjoy my favorite thing to do, write( or in other words put pen to paper). You have provided me with the ideas, the words, the situations, and even a character or two to put in there. since I was a teen ager, you have driven me to be a writer, I never acknowledged your presence, or the Talent from God either. You were the voice in my head that said" Go write!", and sometimes you were the voice that said" Stop" when I needed to get other things done. Now you are driving me to try different genres, like historical fiction. I find I like it, although I haven't earned any money from my writing.... one day I just may. | Well, its over. GoT is done for this year.... And for one I am glad, I like it but it takes its toll on me. I have broken habits I had built up, and now must go back and reinstall them... not an easy task for me. I had an idea for a new historical fiction story.... but I wanted to make sure that I will do the people in it justice as they are truly American heroes... Doing lots of research on all fronts for it... Actually there are a few historical fiction pieces I want to do. will have to do a lot of research about them first. That just means a lot of work..... but that is ok... I'm writing! |
| DAY 951: Wednesday, June 24, 2015 Prompt: It's late, you fall asleep reading a book (your choice of genre), you dream about one of the characters in the book. What is the title of the book? What is the name of the character? What is the dream about? the names of the characters, as there has to be more than one, is Carolyn, and Pauline. the title would be "The Prize"..... and what is the dream about? you really have to ask? really? |
| I saw 'American sniper' last night, and I about cried.. it is a very sad movie. That sniper, a true American hero if there was any, survived 4 tours in Iraq only to be taken out by an idiot vet on a gun range. Accident or not, that idiot should be charged. Why? because if it was truly an accident than he shouldn't have been on a gun range.... if he knew what he was doing it then becomes murder. Don't get me wrong.... as a vet, I ALWAYS support the troops..... but not always support the mission. and this one I do not. that wart had nothing to do with the US. it was a reaction to us sticking our noses in their country. Its sad really. we did the same thing during WW2 to the Japanese after they attacked us. Are we really able to have peace? not without guns. sad..... very sad |
| DAY 949: Monday, June 22, 2015 Prompt: "Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible." Francis of Assisi What do you think? Is this statement true? Unfortunately I cannot subscribe to this thought being true. It is pretty obvious why, mainly because it is a false assumptions. Now the thinking is correct, but it is not possible to do the impossible. you can try, but is trying something really making the impossible true? I think not. take flying.. I fly for business, but I can only afford to fly coach, but does that mean I'm flying in first class? nope not at all..... I would like to believe it but reality bites... |
| Confess or zip those lips... which is more out of character for you? the answer this question is conditional on the situation, because I let the situation dictate as to whether I confess or not. If I'm trying to make a point I might confess, but I use it sparingly or if I have an advantage for it.(HEHE... no I wont let any details of that out.... that's my big secret. Can't give them all away can I? or do I need to show you?) So there you have the answer it both is in and out of character depends on the situation for me. I really cant get any closer to it than that. |
| never has there been such a day that is so hated through out the country, or , in my humble opinion, the world. I think we should cancel this until we are more fully rested. GoT is in full swing and it is a lot of work. I have stopped writing during GoT, so I can get the reviews done, it is fun and I do enjoy it. There are a lot of good people on here doing GoT, and a lot of talent there, not only on my team( but we are the best at it) but other teams as well. I did notice its always the same ones doing things over and over again and again. I'm not sure why this surprises me, or why I expected anything to be any different. Right now I'm taking a break from everything right now. But soon, I'll be back to reviewing once again. |

Day 930: Wednesday, June 4, 2015 Prompt: Do you have a lucky object that you keep nearby? Do you even believe that objects can hold luck? hmm... do I believe in luck... no! that is the short answer, but there is a longer answer. And I will say that there is no such thing as luck.... you make it what you want it to be. Like winning at the card tables.... that's not luck.... its numbers. Walking across that street and barely making it before that bus driver, that isn't paying attention, makes you a hood ornament. Is that luck? I say no, muscle reaction to a situation that your instincts see before you do. Hopefully that answers the question... |
| Day 929: Wednesday, June 3, 2015 Prompt: Do you have a favorite letter of the alphabet? If so, write a poem or story about that letter. If you don't have a favorite letter of the alphabet then write something funny about the weather in your section of the planet. I have no favorite letter of the alphabet... they are letters. however I live in sunny Florida, there is always stories about our weird weather down here. Like when it rains on one side of the street but not the other.. it is true. or when the neighbors house to the right got wet from the rain and mine didn't. Or when it looks like a beautiful day out side, so you get outside and work, suddenly it rains and completely drenches you, then its gone just as quickly. But about then the humidity kicks in and steams you to death. then there is always hurricane season, I really don't worry about it. Although they are bad, they are teasing us, I kind of want one to hit and get it over with. as far as our weather goes... just remember when you are digging yourself out of snow on Christmas... I could put on shorts and go to Disneyworld. ha ha ha |
