This is David giving praise to the Lord for what He did when he was basically fleeing for his life from the reigning king, Solomon, who kinda went nuts in obsession against David. The Lord still delivers His creation from our enemies and from those who hate us, it is up to us to recognize this and thank Him for doing what He said He would do. | My battery is dead and with the recent injury from being robbed on 11-14 I do not have the strength to remove the battery and carry it to the store right next to the place we stay. It's times like these that you just have to wonder what the heck is going on and then you have to remember that He is still in control and the battery will be changed one way or another. | "Forgive, and you shall be forgiven." Dear Jesus, teach us to be forgiving and compassionate like you. I have been struggling with this very issue again beloved. You see the robber is still causing me to be angry and bitter toward her. I am trying to release that and at every turn lately the Lord has been showing me Scripture that is beginning to make a difference. This is why no one will ever convince me that God's Word is old, dead, and irrelevant. This very day, this very hour, this is a problem I am dealing with and here in ink on paper is something more that proves to me that He cares for my physical, spiritual, and mental health. | Blessed are the meek; for they shall inheirt the earth. Being meek does not mean being weak and letting people run all over you. The attitude of meekness is a quality that is needed in this world. The beattitudes from which this passage is taken are attitudes that when taken upon our personality and life bring a peace and sense of character that others are able to discern. It is a life that they want to know about because the peace that becomes instilled in our hearts, minds, and souls are what so many need to find and seek solace through other means including stimulants that only mask the problems rather than facing and solving the problems. It is my soul desire from day to day to learn something and to be a ministry to someone else. One way that I try to do this is through the gift of writing. If something that is written causes one to pause and consider a change or adjustment then mission accomplished. You are important to God; therefore you are important to me. Remember to be meek does not mean to allow yourself to be run over by another, it only means to be a llitle more tolerant and forgiving. The rewards of this is that others will be changed by your change in the way you react to every day stresses that come along. Copenator out! |
