The Executive
by Steve Cope
A Legacy Writers Wednesday Poet/Poetess Challenge
02-18-2009

The Pryncessa Divine was an artist, poetess and one
Heck of a good person all around. But did you know her
Educational goals were business related?

Every day, can you imagine, Pryncessa strolling into the office
'Xecuting executive orders with the greatest of
Ease and flashing her smile that stops the world for a moment.
Capturing those she leads with the desire to push higher and further.
Unparalleled would her career be for she knew how
To pursue a goal when it was presented.
In the experience of your servant in Christ, there was
Very little of that side she mentioned for her true calling in my mind was the
Ever amazing art and poetry she produced from her heart and soul.
and now unfortunately

The Executive has been silenced in life but her voice lives on in the memories and pictures she left behind on myspace and other venues she frequented while she loved her world and grew in her skills.

A Heroes Fable
by Steve Cope
01-31-2009
A CPCCC Collab write
Lines taken from fellow writers are in parenthesis.

Sunlight Dancing in the Sky (Cheryl)
As butterflies go flying by (BreeZy B)
As the rainbows arch stretches across the sky (sheila A)
The butterflies match my tie(smiley with help from 10 year old song "G")
And all this nature can make me high.

I watch a turtle shaped cloud drift in the sky (LadySeda)
That must mean seaturtles are near by (sheila A)
And traling close behind a little rat in a Kimono too (Copenator)

For the Teen-age Mutant Ninja Turtles need a recruit, tis true
Donatelo got his foot caught in a compactor and the rest you do know.
The butterflies were a decoy and now we are caught up in the game that is afoot.

Leaving a world of worries behind (Colleen)
Moving forward straight into my lifeline (Angel)
Please don't cry, let me wipe them tears dry (Michelle K)
I Posted a Bulletin Miss Cheryl *Smile* (Mindy)
And now here I sit working a bit on the hero fable.

Beaming down on the sidewalk and warming my peach pie (Copenator).
Is the sun that they do harness not to miss out on electricity!
Solar power makes the oil man cry (united majority)
As to his fortune he waves bye-bye (Just Jo).

Tears that fall I can't answer why ~Insatiable Jewel
Oh wait I know now. Hey Raphael get out of the way
You're stepping on my foot and I'll throw this hay
If you don't get the heck out of the way.

Listen to the mockingbird's plaintive cry (Colleen)
emotions and passions coincide (smiely29)
An emotional landslide (sheila A)
Oh woe is me I need a doctor of Podiatry.

Into the funky mobile we do all pile,
Heading down the alley to the old pool of bile.
Much to my surprise we floated right through
And came up on the other side at a deserted zoo.

Lost within a lifetime of mystery (Wyn)
within the forest where evil looms (Linda)
Hides a rose longing to bloom (Angel)
And master zen says this is where we must start with all aplomb.

The forest of dark and dangerous sin
Inhabitied by the vilest of minions
Come hither new recruit and repair my rack and pinions
Or we will be stuck forevermore in this forest dark within.

Without tears left to cry (Wyn)
I look to the rainbow in the sky (sheila A)
Don't tell anyone , I'm very shy (Wizard of Awwwwws )
And if I must, if only so, I will go forth and die.

Ah, you are very wise, young whipper snapper
Your courage and valor will do you good against the purse snatcher.
But you better wait here, just in case we get lost along the way,
Perhaps you can leave us a trail of your hay.

Excuse me while I kiss the sky (Jimmy Hendrix)
Reaching out for angels way up high (Michelle K)
My wings are singed , and it makes me cry (Wizard of Awwwwws )
Do you think you can do recon and over the forest fly?

"Why yes I will," said the wizard and without any hesitation
Off on his singed wings he goes, the forest his destination.
Now before I go let me do one more thing, and with you have a fling,
Oh don't worry it's to the wifey I do speak, the Lady Purple Rhonda.

Every time I think of your beautiful face (Michelle K)
Single stars shoot across the sky in a race (LadySeda)
And then I realize that we've been in the dark all this time
Covered by a huge blanket of rosemary and thyme.

Out of our trance we do at last snap
And with but a minute or two we do flap
Dispatching anger, hatred, rage, and discord,
All in the name of good over evil, it's a record.

So when at last you find you need help
Say listen don't call me cause I've got a whelp.
Maybe; just maybe; the Turtles will come our of retirment
And play the all to disenfranchisement.

The fellow heroe's who added to the fable are listed above and in the end the day is saved.
Good wins over evil and the world can sleep another day knowing the CPCCC has fought the good fight,

Love = Us
by Steve Cope
A February Drabble Challenge Entry
02-11-2009

Love is a two way street and for myself and Rhonda we met 23 years ago at a church that came at just the right time, the road less traveled if you will. When I first saw her the Lord literally said "this is your wife".

After picking myself up from the floor mentally it has become an equation that stands the test of time, for Steve and Rhonda; Love = Us. Twenty-one years of marriage later and I can still say, Happy Valentines day Rhonda, because as the saying goes, "Love=Us".
And that is the best math equation of all.

Here it is, the day has rolled around
Again and now it's your day, as the world goes round.
Place your hat upon your head (party hat that is),
Prance too and fro and ooh and aah.
You are important and forever will you be my chickadee.

Bless the Lord on this day and
In the hours that do pass fill them with trips to E-bay,
Reeling in the Monkees, and blowing a wad of dough.
Till the card runs out, hahahahahahhaah.
Here is my prayer for your blessed
Day; "Lord I seek Your guidance and strength
As Rhonda begins another 365 days under Your leadership.
You are the Great I Am and as the days progress please

Raise her up and prompt her in the ways to go.
Hold her in the folds of your arms and cover her health.
Oh Lord praise Your name for the day we so
Newly met twenty-three years ago.
Doing what You had her do to bring us face-to-face.
A day you said "She will be your wife" began the many times I could say

Happy Birthday Rhonda, my wife and my life here on earth, second only to the King of kings and Lord of lords. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."

Magic, Mystery and Mayhem Too
A Monday Magical Mystery CPCCC
by Steve Cope
02-02-2009
The innaugural edition of a new forum at the CPCCC
With Lady Seda

Magic is in the air,
Can't you feel it without a care?
When the days get too long and
The woes of the hours become too moribund,
Just take a deep breath and smell,
The magic in the air.

When the sun beams down on your hair
And the cheeks you have are so fair
Won't you please my chickadee incline your ear
For I have to say there is magic in the Air!

What amazing things can happen
When upon the wonders of the world you do ponder
You could be inspired to run willy nilly never mind the mishappen.
Or better yet you could yell and say "Hey over yonder

Don't you feel the magic in the new born day?"
What a marvel and what a land of opportunity in our way
That magical moment when from the snoring you do awake
And realize that once again the Lord has blessed with a blank page.

Oh the mystery of it all, what to do from beginning to end?
Which way to go. Does duty call, or does upon another each moment depend.
Oh the marvel, the wonder, the potentional that is before us.
Will today be the day we can finally stop taking the bus?

Oh the mystery, oh the wonder of it all. Listen to the phone
It's ringing, it's blaring, "why won't it leave me alone!"
Oh, hark! Listen carefully! A bird does call out unto me.
"Come, come (insert your name here)and I will take you out to sea."

Oh the wonder, oh the amazing dazing thrill of it all
What day can we take and make our own? I'll tell you Monday call
My day of mystery, magic and mayhem. Go ahead and give it a go
Chunk the day at work (if only we could afford it) and play in the snow.

Oh the wonder, oh the mystery, oh the magic of it all
Won't you take this day and into it place everything and fall
Peacefully to sleep in the even time, because you have had a blast
And filled another day with magic, mystery, and mayhem at last.

Oh the magic, oh the mystery, of the mayhem we could wreak
If only were it not for the real world in which we live
Pulling us back into reality Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, the whole darn week!
Oh but do not despair for on any given day to fantasy you can cleave,

For wherever there is paper and ink, or cyber paper and pen,
There will always be a way to bring a little joy, magic, mystery akin
To joy and mayhem too if the muse so strikes we who call ourselves writers.
Won't you join me in this day, this day of magic, mystery and mayhem?

Oh the mayem, the mystery, the magic
With pen and ink white, yellow, brown our even magenta whee!
The day can turn into whatever you wish and still live in the package
Called life here on the planet earth where I have to go wee!!!!!!!!!

Oh how grateful this writer is for the gift
Oh the magical mystery that was given by He.
As a sickly little boy the books were plied
As my family outside did play inside I did lay

Covered in cross word puzzles and sci-fi and
Oh the many places I did go, even when outside I was far from.
Oh the magic and the wonder to see Mars through the eyes of John Carter.
Oh the mayhem I did read and imagined I was there in the midst.

Oh the magic, oh the mystery, oh the mayhem we are all able to wreak
Pray though does this servant in Christ that each new day of every week
We will seek to uplift and to elate
Before the world comes to an end and it's too late.

Oh the magic, the mystery, the mayhem
The Lady Seda has unleashed with the new Magical Monday.
Lord in Your mighty way may You cover and watch over those who come
And bless them for using their talents to cheer, elate, and cause
such wonderful magic, mystery, and mayhem.

I Love to Write
by Steve Cope
01-30-2009

I like to lay down some ink

Like sized, purple, blue, green, or even pink.
On any given day the hand is busily typing
Volumes of letters and words, even free handing.
Every line is important, meant

To entertain, educate, or even to make a cent.
Oh yes! Writing a jingle for work equaled sales.

When a day passes and nothing was written my day pales.
Right inside my mind the words bump and jive,
In times of quiet a moment of inspiration produces pages five.
Then at times surfing the www, a picture grabs my heart
Ever more will the picture speak and draw my hand down the page
and in the end my muse is satisfied, ready to speak to the reader
with the words plied from me.

I love to write this is true,

Like the fish swims in the deep blue
Ocean, feeling healthy, well and alert.
Veering here, weaving there, energy they exert.
Each line that is dangled before them

Takes on a life all it's own and lures with a hint of food.
Oh the sustenance before them dulls their resolve and

With but one lapse in concentration the hook does sink
Right at the moment of satisfaction the fish did think
"It's kinda odd to find a worm way down here!"
Too late, and the temptation has ended a life.
Ever wondering what that odd pain is and why suddenly he sees the light!

I love to write and my prayer is that you enjoy just a little bit what
inspiration brings to life. I'm hooked folks, because forever it will be true,
I Love To Write!

Blank Pages Are Surely Coming
by Steve Cope
01-27-2009

Blank pages are a writers best friends or worst enemies.
Like the times one stares and stares, but nothing ever comes.
A writer must overcome this obstacle and there is
No better way to begin than giving thanks for the talents the
King of kings provides to His creation.
So when you see a Blank

Page begin with thanksgiving and before you know it
A line; or five; have begun to fill in the
Gaps from the top to the bottom of the page. This is an
Exercise in getting the juices flowing and filling
Space between now and time to go to work, but more

Blank Pages will present themselves again in the future. How will you choose to approach them as they come along? Your servant in Christ will face each and step forward giving Him thanks for the talents He does provide and those blank pages in life will soon be filled with praises unto the Lord, and the story continues on each new Blank Page.

A new day oh Lord dawns and there are
Remembrances of Your presence and anticipation for
Even more and greater evidences of You in our lives.

Blank Pages Are

Seen at every turn and the challenge to you is
Understanding how to begin each new line.
Revealing the source of your talents and at
Every turn leading the reader on the quest
Likely to bring that "aha" moment for them.
Your words touching the lives of others,
Blank Pages Are Surely

Coming and the world is open with many
Opportunities to impact others lives and hearts.
Making the most of them is
Important.
What will you do?
Now is when you must decide, so when the morrow comes you can
Go ahead and start, for
Blank Pages Are Surely Coming and be ready to fill them up one-day-at-a-time.

Good it is to be saved and led by the Lord.
On every front in our lives is His desire to make
Open the things that hinder full surrender.
Dear Lord at this time we pray for Your

Good and perfect will to be done.

Bless the name of the Lord and
Experience a peace that surpasses understanding.
Take up the cross and
Train your heart, mind, body, and soul to serve Him!
Engrave the Word of God in your heart and
Repeat the process at every turn in the road of life,

Better is it to willingly serve God than to

Be a slave of satan doing his bidding. Many do not
Even realize it's happening, so deceptive are his ways
See; beloved of God; His greatest creation, it is
The truth that sets us free and it is very

Good for us to seek Him, for we shall find Him.
It is Better to accept Jesus' sacrifice, and be
forgiven.
It is Best to desire to serve Him, thereby thwarting satan's plan to condemn you to an eternity of separation from God's presence and Love. The kind of Love that sent His One and Only Son to the cross to prepare the way through the remission (dying out/being eradicated) of your sins.

This is the Good, Better, and Best Acrostic beloved. The bottom line is follow Him and live, follow satan and sin greater than you could imagine will be chained upon your heart, until it is too late to turn away when it is your time to leave this fleshly vessel. Only to enter eternal separation from the presence of God.

The choice is yours. Do you want to go from bad, to badder, to baddest or do you want to walk the path that lead you you the good, better, and best things God has in store for your life?

Choose beloved? Why wait? Choose now and your new life can begin today.

The Mask
By Steve Cope

Like the sets of a movie that appears so real, so too is the mask that many of us wear.
The mask that we put on in different situations, different times of the day, seem to be good enough to fool all who we wish to fool. What does the real person inside the mask feel at any given moment? Is there ever a time when there is no mask?

Feelings that range from the deepest sad to the highest glad. The mask coming down only when no one else is around. Feelings of sadness, loneliness, with nobody to talk to, because nobody really cares. Feelings of contempt and hate, covered by the mask of joy and frivolity. The mask of sadness and pain used to gain personal satisfaction. The inner feeling of guilt for such a deception is suppressed by an evil enemy we all face daily.

The mask that comes off when no one is looking reveals what God the Father knows every day. If it is sadness, He wants to soothe your pain. If it is gladness, He wants to share it with you. If it is worry, He wants to wrap you in His arms so you may feel secure. If it is love, He wants you to share it with others, not to hide it under a mask.

Like actors in the olden days, each new scene required a new mask and a new pretense, until the next scene. There is a man who has no masks. A man who needs no masks. He walked the streets openly, telling all who would hear the story He had to tell. Many men, wearing the mask of criticism and doubt, confront and harass Him daily. He says, “fear not, for you are not the reason I am here. I am here to bring all who will hear to the glories of God the Father. I wish you no harm.” They believed Him not for their fear was too great.

Will you remove your mask for a short while and listen to the message the man without a mask has for you? Hear the story of the love He has for you and for me. Hear this; and watch your masks melt away; as the Holy Spirit soothes the pain, the sadness, and shares the gladness and laughter you have in your heart.

P.S. Jesus Christ; the man without a mask; has a message that is filled with love and sacrifice for each and every one of you. No matter the situation you are in; Jesus Christ is here to take your sins; and replace your confusion, fear, sadness, and pain with the peace so many seek through other means.
Read John 3:16-18; 19:28-30; and 20:1-7. Know that if you will only believe and ask Jesus to be your Savior, the only mask you will see is the mask in the theater of olden days.

You will no longer need to hide your feelings to protect yourself. Jesus will be
there and He will help you to share what is on your heart. Beloved this is the end of this book and now as promised here is the bonus unlisted poem
the Lord has led me to share with you. God loves you and we do too. Steve and Rhonda,
servants in Christ. His Servant Ministries.

Beloved:

What you are about to read, should you decide to continue, is the result of your servants attendance at church this morning. As is often the case a song that we did in worship touched me and one phrase in particular has stricken a cord once again in my heart "Worthy Is the Lamb". The Lord began formulating in my mind the first leg of the acrostic worthy is the Lamb and this early Monday moring He gelled this beginning into the final part of the acrostic Worhty are the Children.

This is a treatise if you will and within is an appeal to you as human beings to read and listen to the words with your heart and to make a decision that will effect the future of this world. It may seem controversial, the issues that are taken up, but understand this. The world is alive with controversy for it is how so many changes have been wrought, from the throes of differing opinions to arrive at a consensus that is good for the whole and not just for the one. Read on beloved and know a cross roads is being reached one short day away and we must needs be prepared and ready to make a choice. What will yours be?

Worthy Is the Lamb, Worthy Are the Children

by Steve Cope

01-18-2009

Will the world ever come to realize?
Or will it forever doubt and look away?
Righteous and glorious is the Lord.
Taken unto a hill of death and derision
He was beaten, mocked, and spat upon.
Yet in the terror that others would have seen, what did He see?

In the eyes of the crowd He saw mixed emotions it is true.
Sinners all and yes there were some who believed in Him oh so new.

Taking His place with no resistance
How can it be that man can be so cruel to his fellow man.
Every year 40 million babies are aborted and two-thousand years ago the

Lord was taken from those whom He desired to save.
Ah beloved, what have we done? Have we ended an uprising or placed a
Martyr upon this cross? The children who will lose their lives will never know the
Blessed touch of their Savior or feel the love of their mothers and fathers, in the name of choice!

Worthy is the Lamb, beloved and so are those who are in the womb. It is called Sanctity of Human Life people and we have lost that in the community that now covets convenience and lack of responsibility for what they have done.

Worthy is the Lamb to be praised for He willingly sacrificed Himself so others might be saved.
Oh that humanity would be willing to do the same to save those who have no voice.
Rightly formed and knitted in the womb are these beautious creations.
Taken unto the Fathers presence before their appointed time,
Holy and sanctified because they did not have the choice to choose life or death.
Your servant in Christ; Copenator; does mourn for the loss of so many, for

Worthy were those who have been ended to be born.

A world that has grown cold and unfeeling can still be revived beloved.
Raise up the battle cry and walk through the things you have done,
Ever knowing that the child you carry has a purpose and

Worthy are

The children who have been conceived to be born.
Here in this day and age, a new president will soon be installed to preside.
Ever wonder what would have happened if an abortion occured years ago?

Worthy are the

Children beloved because one chose to carry through birth and we now
Have a new president to preside over the U.S.A.
In agreement with him or not, as Americans we are called to support this
Leader of a country that has been silenced on so many fronts.
Dearly beloved in the world wide web who read these words, surely you
Realize by now that life is important because you are reading
Even now this plea to all who will listen and understand with all their hearts,
Near or far or even in another country it is the plea of this servant who was allowed to be born to consider well and know that

Worthy is the Lamb to be praised and Worthy Are the Children to be born!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
