THis poem hits home for me. I have alot of relatives that have had children in foster homes, and all were not what they should be.
Right now I am allowing a woman stay with me for a little bit, that has lost all six of her children to the system. I wonder how these children are being treated, and if they are happy.
This poem has a good flow and rhyme. It carries a message that we all need to read.

With wisp of hatred
And hazes of fear
Saddly enough these few words tell the story of many children both in foster care and in those that are just in bad homes.
I am even careful not to say anything bad about the ex husband, who after sixteen years of marriage left and does not help me raise his kids. I don't even want their hearts hurt, and I could not imagine children that are susposed to be safe to be hurt.

The crack of a whip,
reminds me of the whipping that Jesus had to take before he was placed on the cross.

As depressing as this poem is, I love it. I have had the same fantascy, and it helps others to know that they are not crazy to think this way from time to time.

The blood from her wrists hitting porcelain; cleansing, like a final breath.
This is just as it has been cut from one of my down days that I have made it through.

I have thought of how my problems would leave with my blood, but I have to see how I get out of this pain without dying. I am a curious person so I want to see how I do get out of the pain that I feel.
