Yesterday, I got some unsettling news. I found out that a long time staff member at work was going into semi-retirement and it was going to be her last day. I also found out that we lost a job contract. The company who provided this job decided to go to another company because it offered more money. I really enjoyed working on this job, now it is gone. I woke up ill today. My boyfriend called me early because he's going to see "King Kong" tonight. There was another terrorist attack, this time in London, England. Four individuals are confirmed dead, 20 injured. |
| On Sunday, we had a student minister doing the church service. She's originally from Australia. On Monday, I did thank you cards. Yesterday, I spent the day with the boyfriend. My sister went to the grocery store for a big shop, including, food for our Thanksgiving dinner this weekend. |
| Today, I had a one on one interview with the head manager. It is probably going to be a while before I am going to find work. I'm a little disappointed, but I'm also looking forward to the time off. I've worked for 11 years and hardly missed a day of work. I managed to do 120 adapters today. |
| The last two days I have been watching soccer and relaxing at home. I don't have the money to spend until Friday.. |
| On Friday, my boyfriend and I went to see The Proclaimers in Hamilton. The concert was fantastic. There was a lot of Scottish people there. I fitted right in. I'm half Scotch. The opening act, Siobhan Wilson was fantastic too. My boyfriend and I met her after her performance. We also got her autograph. After the show, I felt proud to be Scotch Yesterday, I attended a meeting after church. We were told that it may take a while to find a new minister. Today, I was on Alcon all day. |
| Sunday, I went to Harvey's with my boyfriend. On Monday, we had Sundae Day at work for charity where we got to make our own sundaes for $3 On Tuesday was a huge day for me. First, I had a really good check up at the dentist. Just three cavities. Afterwards, I went to an event with my boyfriend which included a pizza dinner and a dance. We had a blast. Yesterday, i just stayed home. Tomorrow night, my boyfriend and I are going to see The Proclaimers in concert. Can't wait. |
| Yesterday, I did 232 adapters. I went to Tim Horton's with my boyfriend later last night. Today, I went to the Fall Fair. I then had a nap when I got home. |
| I managed to get 60 adapters done today. Not much I could do since I had just a box of adapters mostly all day and they were all tangled. Finally, at the end of the day, I was able to grab another box and squeeze in 60. |
| Went to the post office to return a package that was delivered in our mailbox by mistake. I then went to Vinyland and bought two Beatle collectors items for my sister. Her birthday is on Monday. I got a private meeting with my employment support worker on Sept. 27. |
| Just going to relax today. Nothing on the agenda. |
| Didn't do a whole lot yesterday. I was at a discussion group at work. I really enjoyed it. I usually don't like these groups because there's always someone wanting to tell their life story. Despite missing an hour of work for the group, I still got 110 adapters done. |
