a daily journal
Yesterday, I got some unsettling news.

I found out that a long time staff member at work was going into semi-retirement and it was going to be her last day.

I also found out that we lost a job contract.

The company who provided this job decided to go to another company because it offered more money.

I really enjoyed working on this job, now it is gone.

I woke up ill today.

My boyfriend called me early because he's going to see "King Kong" tonight.

There was another terrorist attack, this time in London, England.

Four individuals are confirmed dead, 20 injured.

I only have two more Kettle Duties to go.

There was a lot of soccer on this afternoon.

Two in Bundesliga and one in Serie A.

It's been a busy three days for me and exciting as well.

The big news is that I got engaged on Saturday to my boyfriend of four years.

On Friday, I was on Kettle Duty.

Yesterday, I announced my engagement in front of the church. It went over well.

I was busy the last two days doing charity work for the Salvation Army.

I'm sooooo happy that my favorite band of 30 years, Def Leppard, made it to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.

They'll be inducted in March.

CONGRATS.

Yesterday, our pastor was late.

After the opening hymn, we had to wait to see what was going to happen.

Thankfully, one of the choir members took over until she show up.

We did received some promising news.

We've got several candidates for a permanent minister for our church.

I suspect we'll have new minister in the new year, (2019).

Things went well yesterday afternoon.

a few people donated while I was on watch.

I gave a little boy a candy cane and his dad gave him 20 cents to put in the kettle.

So sweet.

Anyway, I got off 15 minutes early because someone else came early to take over for me.

It gave me time for shopping and pick up my dinner.

I hope I get to do it next week.

I didn't have an entry yesterday because I woke up with a headache.

I'm all set for Friday. I booked my ride.

I watched a lot of soccer today.

Quite a few Premier League mid-week games.

I'm having a fantastic day.

I got a call from the Salvation Army.

They want me to help with the kettle campaign.

It's not much, but it's a start.

I'm working at the door at Giant Tiger between 2-4 p.m. on Friday.

Finally my last pay stub showed up in the mail.

Now I can fax my stuff to OSDP so they won't cut me off.

Happy Hanukkah! to my Jewish readers. o they won't cut me off

Just a quiet day here.

I think rained last night.

I watched Chelsea defeat Fulham 2-0.

I'm quite happy about that.

Yesterday, I managed to get downtown to get money out the bank and check the mail.

My last pay stub hasn't came so I phoned my worker and left a message.

Today is a rather sad day in the U.S.

The 41st president, George Bush, has passed away.

RIP. GEORGE!
