Yesterday, I got some unsettling news. I found out that a long time staff member at work was going into semi-retirement and it was going to be her last day. I also found out that we lost a job contract. The company who provided this job decided to go to another company because it offered more money. I really enjoyed working on this job, now it is gone. I woke up ill today. My boyfriend called me early because he's going to see "King Kong" tonight. There was another terrorist attack, this time in London, England. Four individuals are confirmed dead, 20 injured. |
| It is another hot one again today. I had a wonderful lunch with my boyfriend earlier today. We went to the Red Harp Pub. It was wonderful. The staff and service was great. Very friendly. The food was fantastic. The drinks came in a very tall glass. We stayed long enough to watch Russia defeat Spain 2-1 in a penalty kick shoot out. |
| Got up a bit earlier today to catch some World Cup Soccer. Both Argentina and Portigal are out. The Blue Jays won too. 4-3 over the Detroit Tigers. Man! It is hot. At one point today, it was 32 C |
| Was on Alcon all day. I did managed to get 20 adapters wrapped up before I went home. We found out early this morning that there's work next Thursday afterall. I jumped on my scooter as soon as I got home because I had to go to the bank. The bank closes at 4 p.m. |
| I found out today that I might have extra long weekend. There's a possibility there won't be any work next Thursday. Sunday is Canada Day so we are getting a day off on Monday. I did 150 adapters. I went downtown after work. |
| Shocking events in the World Cup Soccer tournament. Korea defeated Germany and eliminated them. There will be a new Wold Champion. I guess Argentina is happy. They'll won't have to face Germany this time. Germany has been a thorn in Argentina's side over the years. |
| Man! I watched one heck of a soccer game today. Argentina got through to the top 16 in the World Cup tournament, defeating Nigeria 2-1. Wow! What a fantastic catch Randal Grichuk made last night in last night's Blue Jays game. Awesome! |
| I opened my big fat mouth and got in trouble at work. I was on Alcon today. I'm going to enjoy my two days off. I have nowhere to go for the next two days. |
| I'm so glad I didn't go to the church picnic. It has been raining all day. I stayed home and watched soccer. Tonight, we're having pasta for dinner. |
| Got up early to watch some World Cup soccer. Germany pulled it off in added time by scoring the go ahead goal to defeat Sweden 2-1. Lots of baseball today. I won't be going to the church picnic tomorrow. I'm not much for picnics anymore. They bore me. |
| Boy! Was I ever frustrated this morning when I walked into work. I couldn't find a place to work. Luckly, I found space between two guys to wrap adapters near the floor enterence. I only managed to wrap 85 adapters. Thank god I did over 160 yesterday. I went downtown after work to pick up a few things. |
