Yesterday, I got some unsettling news. I found out that a long time staff member at work was going into semi-retirement and it was going to be her last day. I also found out that we lost a job contract. The company who provided this job decided to go to another company because it offered more money. I really enjoyed working on this job, now it is gone. I woke up ill today. My boyfriend called me early because he's going to see "King Kong" tonight. There was another terrorist attack, this time in London, England. Four individuals are confirmed dead, 20 injured. |
| How am I going to sum up the past six days? Well, let's try this. Thursday, I went to the laundry matt. Friday, I got a phone call from work telling me that I'm back on my regular schedule for now. Saturday, I went to my boyfriend's parents place and had a belated birthday celebration. Sunday, I went to church and was shocked to here that our minister of eight years is relocating to Vancouver, BC. Starting this Saturday, the church committee will be in the process of finding a new pastor. Yesterday, work. Today, I went and got a haircut. |
| For the first time in our relationship, my boyfriend bought me flowers today. It was a birthday present from him. Usually he gives me a stuff animal or a box of chocolates. it was a nice surprise. We sat on my porch and chatted for a while. My sister got my two shirts. Tonight, my sister and I are having Chinese food for dinner. |
| I went to church on Sunday. Afterwards, I went out for lunch with my sister, sister-in-law, and her friend. Plans were changed. We went to McDonald's instead. My sister-in-law paid for my lunch and her friend bought my a hot fudge sundae. Yesterday, my bible arrived in the mail. I went to the bank yesterday too. Oh yeah, My sister-in-law gave my a Blue Jays T-shirt and Blue Jays socks for my birthday which is tomorrow. |
| My boyfriend visited me last night. It was nice to see him. My Feng Shui forecast for today in Open. Apparently it means good. In less than 20 minutes, I'll be watching the Jays game and Game One of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins playoff series. i was also informed today that my sister-in-law is taking my sister and I out for coffee tomorrow. I think it has something to do with my upcoming birthday which is on Wednesday. |
| Well, we got our home phone back. The lines were down because contraction workers accidentally severed them. My Feng shui forecast said receiving. That means good. Man! The Washington Capitals really laid an egg last night. The team was up 2-0 in the third period and allowed Pittsburgh to store three unanswered goals. Needless to say that the Capitals lost 3-2. |
| The last five days were rather eventful ones. i spent half the day with my boyfriend on Saturday. Went to church on Sunday, witnessed two baptisms and 100th birthday celebration for a very special lady. The birthday celebration was wonderful. It even featured a bag piper. Monday, i went to work. Tuesday, I went downtown and got my taxes filed. Today, my Feng Shui forecast is success. It is a beautiful day out today so I rode down on my scooter. |
| Not much going on around here. There was some sad news in the music world. a famous DJ died at 28. I got a call from work. I go in on Monday. I'll be on quality control on Alcon. |

| I think I finally got everything sorted out with the bank. I went to Georgetown and the teller kindly served me and told me that she would take care of it so I don't have to come to the bank again. I went to McDonald's afterwards to pick up some lunch. God may have answered my prayers. This weekend and throughout next week it is supposed to get much warmer. Double digits they say. |
