Lord You are aware of our every need.
You plant every hope giving seed.
We seek Your healing balm today,
For another WdC'r has passed away
.

White Case memorials are so large,
We pray for the families in mourning.
We pray for the Balm of Gilead.
A comfort that surpasses all understanding.

Heal our hearts, let us do our parts,
To minister to and help heal sore hearts.
This day we pray for Missy's family and friends,
As they seek to cope with grief, Your peace send.

We went to the hospital Thursday thinking 3honda would be getting a 2d lead in. A cathertization revealed a b locked artery.that had been grafted in place in 1987m. A stint placed there has opened thE artery and they are going to do a test in 2 months to see if she needs the other lead afterall. When they moved her to another room for the night the view out our window was a wall of crosses as far as the eye could see.
Photo forthcoming. Jesus is Lord!

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." Psalm 23:1

The Daily Bread is important to us. We need the Bread to nourish our spiritual minds and help us to find a sense of balance in a world that so often is topsy turvey. There are people all over the world suffering, in need, and often in dire need of even the basic things of life.
Can you think of a time in your life when you were at what is commonly called "rock bottom?"
Can you identify a point in your existence when you questioned why you were even here?
Can you look at your life and see with the help of hindsight evidences of provision that was made at seemingly the last possible moment?
Do you need something?

Here is the prayer, here is the ONE, here is the promise that you will have what you need when you follow Him as your Lord and Savior.

Dear Father, thank You for providing for our needs. Amen.

That's it. It sounds so simple and matter of fact. The fact is that it is the greatest thing you could possibly do on this day. With this prayer you are doing these things.
1. You are acknowledging that God is the Father of His creation. His greatest creation is mankind beloved, and that means you.
2. You are also placing your faith in the Lord to provide your every need, not just some things you want to have just to have them. You are placing your faith in the Will of the Lord for your life to provide just what you need to sustain you through the day in which you find yourself.

Today is June 20, 2011. There will never be another day like it. It is unique and is fraught with it's own cares, concerns, hopes and dreams. On this day if you pray this prayer and you mean it in your heart, soul, and mind then you are taking him up on the promise to provide your needs. His promise is found in this verse we read this morning.

Do you need something?

Jesus is the Great I Am.
His love for us is seen at the cross.
Life's blood, sweat, and tears shed for us.
Arms and legs impaled, so He might stay and die.
Three hours of suffering, slowly suffocating to death.
How can it be that anyone would do such a thing?
For those who so often doubt and even vehemently deny.
His existence and presence in the lives of those who died to save.
A blood sacrifice was needed to assure unbroken access to the throne room of the Father God.
Jesus was willing to do the will of God even unto the point of death.
Because He loved us and His Father enough to freely give His life for our benefit, our salvation, our very lives.
His love equals our salvation if we will but believe and ask for forgiveness.
Jesus is the Great I Am.

My beloved has been through so much and today we have to face a test that sends a camera down her throat to capture images of her heart. This was moved up from Tuesday of next week.
Next week surgery will occur to replace her pacemaker with an upgraded model including a defibrilater. Her heart is devoted to the Lord and me, my heart is devoted to the Lord and her. Lord please be with Rhonda, for she is my life's blood here on this planet earth.

When the world seems to be spinning out of control,
I can but look up to the heavens and say "Lord I know."
Lord I know that You are the ONE who is in control.
It is up to me to lay the day down before the cross and that I do now.

Be with Rhonda, Oh Lord, and give her assurance that You are with her this day. Teach me to see Your road signs that indicate You are indeed in our midst, even among the doctors and nurses who will administer this test to get a better ideal of the condition of her heart.

I wrote an acrostic the other day and I was not aware why or for whom it was written. When we met with the doctor this past Monday, and I saw the piece again, I knew that this time it was for my beloved.

Ailments Assail will be in my portfolio soon, but she was the first to ever read this piece. I thank the Lord for the privilege of writing this and for the assurance it gave Rhonda after she had read it. We are not alone in this, God is here, He is now and forever will be in love with His greatest creation.

You are His greatest creation beloved. You who read this were created in the Image of God and upon completion of this work the Lord saw that it was Very Good. The book of Genesis tells the story far better than this humble servant in Christ could articulate how much God loves you, me, Rhonda, Brad, Dawn, Tony, Victoria, and others who are near and dear to the heart of God the Father.

Take up the Word of God, know that it is here for our edification, our encouragement, our correction when it is needed and for conviction of our sinful nature. It is God's love letter to His beloved creation and haste be the day when at last one and all know this and call Him Lord, Savior, and King of kings.

Let us partake of the Daily Bread before we close beloved:

"I, even I, am He that blots out your transgressions." Isaiah 43:25

Remember beloved, that I pull these out of a daily bread box and do not know what is going to be there. Know that this is an assurance that God is with us and that He is concerned about Rhonda, me, you, Brad, Dawn, Tony, Victoria, and so many others. Why? Because He, even He, who blots out your sins calls you His greatest creation. Amen and amen.

The Lord shall give you rest from your sorrow. Isaiah 14:3

Dear God, may we forever seek You as the Source of all rest and comfort. Amen.

The Daily Bread is good and pleasant to eat and enrich our hearts, minds, and souls. Eat hardy daily and rest in the assurance that He is the Source and we are His beloved.

Dangerous, raucous, and down right disturbing.
Elevated blood pressure, headaches, bursting.
Pressing forward, no time for this junk, break out!
Renditions of a jingle or five, a praise song to Jesus let's shout!
Every step of the way, there is a challenge in this world.
Shouting customers, irritated and tired children, life swirled.
Seasons coming and going, spending time in all those aisles.
It's a world full of in's; out's; and in-between, you need more smiles.
Oh where oh where is the great item of the month?
"Not here anymore, maybe in another month."

Depression is real and it permeates much of ones life. But there is a way out, a way through, a way to step away from the muck and mire that is the end result of long bouts of depression. There is hope and while this writer is still in the midst of the struggle, I know there is a point in time when no medication is needed, no more headaches caused by elevated blood pressure, and no more despair so deep and dark.

Depression, Let's End It! How? There is an antidote that requires no needles to administer. An antidote that, when administered, will calm the spirit, tame the tiger, and end the darkness that rages around one in the midst of depression. His name is JESUS! I know Him, and yet and still I don't know Him enough to be able to handle depression on my own. I'm working on it. Are you? Do you want to draw closer to Jesus and as a result find a light at the end of the tunnel? Do you want to end the darkness and adjust to the Light of the World who now dwells in the hearts of those who would believe and call Him Savior? Do you?
Join me next time and if I'm able to locate it, I will publish the antidote. If I cannot find it, then something else will be addressed, but either way writing is in my heart and from there I'll always have a start.

I Have to Write
by Steve Cope
04-07 and 8-2011

I have to write,
that's surely right.
I have to breathe
in the words so free.
Released from a mind
of the third kind.
The kind that rises
from the heart to excise.
To remove from the mind,
making room for more words rightly mined.

I have to write, just as I have to breathe right.
I have to shine the light, of words and their might.
I have to share with the world, that some really care.
I have to pair the gifts of writing and pastoral care.
I have to care, for it is He who leads me to share.

I have to write, it's in my heart, mind, and soul.
I have to warn, cajole, and point the way to the King of kings.
I have to cede to His will, His Word my heart to fill.
I can see the light shining bright, of this I must write.
A light brighter than ten suns, yet gentle and inviting.
The very presence of God seeking fellowship with His greatest creation.
You, me, he, she, mankind one-and-all.

I believe it is no coincidence that I pulled this Daily Bread from the blessed Word of God.
The Word of the Lord endures forever. I Peter 1:25

Listen to me!
Don't you see?
This is serious,
It can be injurious.

Listen to me!
Don't turn away!
I'm talking to you!
What must I do?

Listen to me!

Sound familiar beloved? When was the last time you tried to get someone to listen to you? Were you successful the first time? Or did you have to continue the conversation, so to speak, again and again?

Here in this day and age of busy, busier, busiest it's hard to get a word in edge-wise. Your loved ones are heading to this event, to that occasion, or even that appointment that will land the perfect job. Who has time to listen any more?

Well we all listen in our own ways. What may seem like the distracted answer of hmmm, mmhhh, is one mans way of multi-tasking and filing away the valuable information provided by his spouse. Surely if you think about it you will be able to find some other examples of how we listen to one another.

There is someone who is always listening. Someone who is never distracted when you so desire to speak with Him. Someone who loves you from the bottom of His heart and provided the "link" we need to connect. There is never a busy signal, never a stereo blaring, nor even a pot of beans taking the minds full attention away.

When you call upon Him, He is all ears, and will assure you that your concerns are important with an answer that is on the way just as soon as you voice it. He is intent on your concerns and believe me He does and always will listen!

Lord, teach us to follow You. Teach us to seek Your lead and to follow as we feel You doing. I confess today that I felt You telling me to give 2 bags of food to a family in the food pantry. I did not follow through. Teach me Lord to always and forever more to listen to Your lead and follow. Teach us to listen! In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
