I love Thanksgiving and I have for ever. I was born on Thanksgiving day and al though I only get to celebrate that day of Thanksgiving and birthday every seven years, I love it anyway! I enjoyed your little history lesson and so wish we could have kept our respect of the Indians. They knew America much more than the "white man".

I am in awe of Jamie and understand all to well what it is like to have a child that other's do not understand. Your right family can be the meanest. We expect to love our child but we still wonder if God is punishing us. Your heartfelt coversations were so honest. My son is bi-polar and by many standards somethings having a physical handicap would seem easier to understand. I know it's not. I so enjoyed reading your story. I had to read this poem several times to really get the effect of going off to boot camp and then over to fight in the army or navy or whatever service you are employed by. I get the horror of what fighting can do in this and what damage it does to a soul. Good or bad it is happening all too often.

Oh I am so glad I came across this tonight! I love your style of writing, but more than style is the message and what I learn about you. As a mother and a woman. We love our children, sometimes to the point of no longer seeing them. I know what it feels like to be gripped in fear for a child. I am going thru something with Jackson that I have to trust God too. I have too because his problems are too big for me to carry and I know it! I pray for you and all your family to find the peace of God and to see the light he has to offer.

Wow this was great! My little guy experienced night terrors for a long time and still he sleeps with a light on every night. You kind of scared me with your hand coming in the door! I get freaked out easily!

To marry someone is the greatest gift, it is a leap of faith like non other. Love is not always the most important element. As you have pointed out, friendship is part of the deal. I like the words you have chosen for this poem, but feel like a more romantic form or style would fit this poem better. Wow are you one busy mom! I get upset with two kids and no sports!! Life is fun when they are active and your right, when you are running all the time you can't feel sorry for yourself or worried sick about your husband! We should all spend as much time as you do, counting blessings. I found this very refreshing to read, I can tell you need to work a little on poetry forms, but this seems more like a prose piece of writing. Keep writing from you heat, that is where the true beauty of words are born.
