Review of The Office
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
Deeply intelligent piece of the life and times of Janie Moore. Gavin, too, is invincible. I liked your style, you have good length to the story and you are sure-footed on phrases that take a love story through a woman's crisis. It was very pleasurable to read. I like the last cryptic line, too. It makes for a story like this. Best Regards.

Wonderful piece, Iva Mae. I am so excited. I just examined my first e-mail from the Spiritual Newsletter, and this was featured there.

I, too, take Vicodin at times for a bad back. Pain is relative, God can heal it but it certainly doesn't just go away!!!!

Have a nice day.

Best Regards.

Yes! This is a wonderful, touching piece of work. Spiritually leading us to a great event, the piece moves us. It has facts of life, and life is life, and this is filled with fragile moments.

I love Sarasota, Fla. A very nice place, and SIESTA KEY, as well. The title is so impressive, and it's meaning even more so.

Best Regards.

Great description. I loved your ideas in the Short Stories Newsletter concerning such things, where description can be overwrought. You have that special quality of psychological bend that stands out in this. Very much of your work on writing.com is read by many, and I am one who studies it too. I just loved your item that chose to look at poetry forms. Thank you so much for sharing your attitudes, expertise, and know-how for us. Best.

Review of Constanze Weber

Wonderful, eloquent allusions in this, it has such powerful metaphorical qualities. I liked the stanza:

*Star*as if trying to forget what keys you inked
or with which instrument
or every time those gold-edged paper whispers
walled our raw rehearsals
for the candelabra-lighted concert nights.

A euphoria of words. Best Regards.

Review of Dark Shadows

You might not have told us "a million things about the show Dark Shadows";however, you certainly gave us a detailed rundown of the characters so we could reminisce about it too! I loved the show. Vampires in that show were great! Barnabas was really the one
I warmed up to, too. All those characters were good, but, Megan, you really know your stuff. I don't think I even recall some of the characters, you relived in this essay. Thanks for creating this. Best to you.

Just excellent. I feel the pain, the need. This is a wonderful "Newbie" poem and you have great possibilites. I liked your terse, stabbing lines that did not fool around. You come out front. State the
business of that "Gloom" of the "Artist". It says something strong, gives light to hard times on a writer. The lover lost is a passionate theme. It is sad, yet empathic. I really liked this. Best to you.

A great, natural piece with formulaic description that emotes great compassion. My girlfriend is from Nebraska, and it is an interesting landscape. My mother was born in '28, and I thought about her as I read this piece. The time span I mean. You did a good
job of capturing that. Very real story. Great. Best Regards.

I really liked this seasonally appropriate piece for the Poetry Newsletter this week. The words quickly face the challenge of Poe's "The Raven", and the style . . . contemporary and yet based on the past. Best to you.

Such a good, good piece Demil. Feelings of frightening emotions you cannot control have always been high on the list for authors that want to spell out their situations and show us some honesty. The last line: *Star*

I'm scared to take my life.

Is really great in this expose. It proves that your life is worth it, I think.

Descriptions you made flashed before me and I noted the feminine mystique here. It looks really deeper than the eye can penetrate.
Yes, emotional rollercoasters have us committing ourselves to the things we can't even respect. Those bad days never seem to go away. The title had "active-words" and so did the piece and I liked that. Good job. Best Regards.

Review of *My Novel Ch. 1*
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
I don't have any ideas for a title, but maybe you could call it a name of one of the characters, such as "Emily" or "Damon" so and so. "Waltzing in London"? not so hot. or "A Piece Of The Clouds"? Your piece is great, as a start. It portrays a romantic beginning and a good "active-words" description. That's important, not to be so passive, as you probably already know. It's a piece that rather moves well, and I liked the line:

He set her back on her feet, and once he made sure she had regained her balance, did he allow his gaze to travel up her body. The cut of her burgundy gown flattered her well; the color matched her full, ensuous lips. Roaming his gaze over her face, he noticed she had wonderful features and the most entrancing emerald eyes. Her golden brown hair, falling in perfect ringlets around her oval face, and perfect olive skin, accentuated her eyes emensely. *Star*spelling of last word "immensely".

Damon Worthington rescuing Emily Collums from a lonely life sounds very appealing.

Good job. Best Regards.

I enjoyed the quiz, Popcorn. Getting seven out of ten and get a "very good" was rewarding, I need to know more about poetry and am studying some of Vivian Zabel's notes I printed out. The Poetry Newsletter which this was in was also a good source to study-up. Great little quiz, Popcorn. Best Regards.

with 'covers' are a real concern. Best of luck~~~~

Excellent subject. I liked the attitude of this poem. This is kind of a psychological poem. It examines a lifestyle, a love, a passing, a mark in time. I liked it for what it was, a real statement. Saw it in this week's Poetry Newsletter.

Review of The Healing Sea
Rated: E | (5.0)
Excellent pick for this week's Poetry Newsletter. I thought it was a serene poem, and the words flowed through many twists of such.

Favorite lines:*Star*A pure white gull with black- tipped wings glides silently over the water.

{e:star:}of healing, and of oneness with God,

Your certainty there of giving us a deep picture of the healing sea was very successful!

I like uneven lines, and had no problem with that. This is often times how I myself think and pen things.
I really liked it. Best Regards.

Review of One Thing

Suspenseful piece. As you did well. I liked the two characters most mentioned, but again, I would like to see more tension and emotions exploding. You want an all out fight and arguement. Perhaps, the piece can only go so long and then must be ended, but the
idea of this piece is unique, original, and very worthwhile. I'm wondering about the ending. Is it
credible? The thought that the fire took Jenny was not really what the piece was about, am I right? You have two stories here, in a way. Perhaps, they should be combined with a more believable method. Best Regards.
