Moments later, Stelle found herself suited up and tethered to the Express’s outer hull, drifting cautiously toward the vessel. The others watched anxiously from the observation deck.
As she approached the cracked containment unit, the pulsing glow intensified, bathing Stelle in shimmering light. It wasn’t threatening, but rather… inviting.
“Stelle, are you okay?” Himeko’s voice crackled through the communicator.
“I’m fine,” she replied, her voice steady.
The Stellaron’s energy surged suddenly, enveloping her entirely. For a moment, everything went white. When she came to, she wasn’t standing on the hull anymore. She was floating in a strange, infinite space—a void filled with shifting fragments of memories, voices, and emotions.
“Welcome, Trailblazer,” a deep, echoing voice spoke.
Stelle turned, but there was no source for the voice—only the shifting fragments around her.
“Who are you?” she asked.
“I am what remains of a Stellaron once bound by power, purpose, and pain,” it replied. “You, too, are bound by threads unseen. Yet your path diverges from the expected. I shall grant you a gift to walk not just your path, but the paths of others.”
Stelle knows about paths. Harmony, Order, Nihility, Beauty, Elation ... But what does mean “path of others ?”
“I'm ... not sure to understand.”
“Such a lost thing ... You don't know about how this universe works, do you ? You have to grasp what each Aeon is, and to achieve that, you need to follow their path. I'm just giving something to help you. Wait, try to see what that gift is, and you will certainly understand what it means to follow the path of others. Trust me.”
And then, the shimmering light expands once more, leaving in its aftermath Stelle alone, brought back in the Astral Express by the others.
“Stelle ! Are you alright?” ask March
“I think I am. What happened?”
Clearly, Stelle wasn't sure about her meeting with the Stellaron.
“It seems you absorbed what it was. Maybe we should return to the Herta Space Station, to ensure that you are safe.” questionned Himeko, a bit worried.
