"So, what are you doing, little brother?" a voice called out. Gritting your teeth, you turned and saw that your twin sister, mel was standing by the door. Apart from the fact she could be such a ditz, and the fact she liked the fact she was five minutes older than you, you actually got on well with her.
"I don't know. Maybe it's something of yours" you said with a slight grin. Mel was even more dismissive of magic than you. Still grinning, you grabbed the book and thrust in into her hands.
"So, what is this book. John! You know I'm totally not into this junk. This is so not funny" Mel yelled as she realized that you had given her a 'magic' book. "I can't believe you like, wasted money just for one stupid grin."
"I didn't buy it. I found this book lying on the ground when I got home. If you hadn't spent so much time gossiping, you probably would have arrived home before me and discovered this book" you said to your sister's pouting figure.
"Whatever. I tot.." Mel said, freezing mid word.
"What's wrong?" you demanded.
"I felt totally strange for a few seconds. Like if this book was calling out to me" Mel said.
"You think I'm going to fall for that? God, you're an airhead, Melanie" you said. Normally, Mel would have instantly berated you for calling her an airhead, but instead, she opened the book and started reading some page about a third of the way in.
