"We should wait for Megan. I think she would totally get a laugh out of this" Mel said, her face twisting into a huge, bemused grin.
"What? Have you lost it?" you demanded. Neither you or Mel believed in magic, or anything similar, and you didn't know what Mel was thinking by suggesting that Megan would like Mel's lame attempt at 'magic'.
"I haven't lost, thank you very much. It sounds strange but I really think there is some sort of connection" Mel said.
"What sort of connection?" a voice asked. It was Megan, and she looked furious.
"What happened?" you asked, concerned.
"That bitch Kristy cancelled practice at the last moment, and had rescheduled it for a time what she knows I can't make it" Megan fumed. It wasn't overly surprising considering the bad blood between the head cheerleader, and Megan. Kristy Hart personified the stereotype of the mean cheerleader, and did not like having a 'baby' on the squad, despite the fact Megan managed to get onto it fairly.
"That's tough. Still, we can totally have our own practice" Mel said, frowning slightly.
"How?"
"John found this magic book, and I like think he'd make a cute cheerleader" Mel said, half giggling.
"What? That's what kept you bemused? The thought of giving Megan someone to practice with?" you said. "i don't have time for this. Just put down the book."
"What's wrong, John? Actually afraid that magic is real?" Mel mocked.
"No.... but if you're going to believe in this nonsense, do something fun" you said
