Having showered and gotten dressed, Cameron began think about what he wanted to do with his day. However, before he even got the chance to decide what he wanted to do, his mother walked into his room.
"Morning Cam," she greeted him.
"Morning Mom," he replied. "What's up?"
"I was just checking to see if you were up," his mother told him. "Remember, we need to be ready to leave in three hours."
Cameron was confused about what she was talking about at first, but then he realized. Crap, that's right, he thought. The family trip! His mom had been planning the family vacation for months and had been pestering Cam and his sisters to pack for the past week. Of course, Cameron had kept putting it off. He still hadn't packed yet and they were leaving today!
"Right, yeah," Cam said.
"Are you all packed?" his mom asked.
"Uh, I'm almost done," Cam lied.
His mother sighed. "You haven't started yet, have you?"
"No," Cam admitted.
"Typical," she said, smirking slightly. She knew her son all too well. "Okay, well you still have a few hours. Please get it done as soon as possible."
"Okay Mom," Cam nodded. "I'll get on it right after breakfast."
"Alright," she told him before leaving the room. "Now to make sure your sisters are ready," she continued as Cam followed her out.
Cameron heading downstairs and fixed himself something to eat. After eating quickly, he returned to his room to start packing for the family trip.
