Cameron was feeling a bit silly. How could he have forgotten the family trip? Since long before school had let out for the summer, his mom had been planning it. She had booked a week long trip for the four of them down to Florida so they could enjoy the warm weather, relax on the beach, and visit Disney World and Universal Studios. Cameron had been looking forward to it all summer, yet somehow he'd managed to forget to pack despite his mom constantly reminding him for the past week.
Returning to his room, Cameron grabbed his suitcase and placed it on his bed. He then began collecting everything he would need. He grabbed a week's worth of clothes, as well as some extra socks and underwear, a couple pairs of swimming trunks, and his toiletries, and packed them in his suitcase. He also grabbed his backpack and put his laptop and some other items to take on the plane with him in it.
Despite having not packed anything ahead of time, it didn't take Cameron long to get everything ready. With a couple hours left to spare, he put on some black sandals, then brought his suitcase downstairs and placed it with the rest of the family's luggage. He took a seat on the couch and just watched some TV until it was time to leave for the airport.
Several hours later, Cameron found himself sat on a plane bound for Florida along with his mother and sisters. Things had gone rather smoothly so far. They had arrived at the airport with plenty of time to spare and managed to get through security without any hassle. However, what Cam didn't realize as the plane departed was that things were not going to go exactly as he expected.
For the duration of the flight, though, things seemed fine. In fact, they were fine. He passed the time listening to music on his phone, playing some games on his laptop, and thinking ahead to visiting the amusement parks and experiencing the various rides and attractions. It wasn't until the Brewer family got off the plane and went to collect their bags that something happened that would certainly change how Cameron's vacation would go.
