After about a half-hour of running, walking, resting, I finally made it to the first intersection.
Suddenly, to my left, crossing the street and walking right towards me, was a guy and his girl. I was in no man’s land. The street light lit up the area pretty good and they were heading right to my curb! If they were to look down and towards the right a little they would see me! I froze in my tracks and was scared to death. Here I was a tiny man for only an hour or two and I could be caught already!
The couple looked like to be around 20 or early 20’s and he was drinking from a huge McDonald’s cup. They were getting closer and I could hear him slurping through his straw like he was finishing his drink. He then threw his cup at the curb almost right at me! The plastic top and straw flew off as it smashed into the curb and several giant ice cubes flew out and hit me right in my head! I looked up and saw the couple was right above me so I scurried on all fours into the open cup.
