A little bit of spice to flavor the pot.
I've never really gone camping or otherwise gone out into the great outdoors. The only time that barely comes close is one time I went on a church Core trip. It wasn't even my regular church but it was the only one that fit with our schedule. They had some group stuff that was not overall bad. But it can be intimidating sometimes being part of a group who know each other when you don't know many yourself. It was a little teeny bit scary being away from home. Even it was just for a few days.

I especially can remember when this girl Jennifer dressed up as big foot to scare everybody. That was memorable. I'm glad to say I went and got a bit closer to my spirituality. There's not too much I can say for the outdoors other than I really don't see myself as ever being the outdoors type. But I applaud people who are. I just can't say that will ever be me.

So, my understanding is that it measures certain properties of the material, almost like wavelengths. The original version looks like an old black box from like, forever ago. I don't think I'd think too much of it. But apparently, from looking it up, it sounds rather interesting. I just have to wonder about its debut. Anybody looking at it would be quite underwhelmed. I'm sure it took some convincing before he was able to patent it.

The original one looks something the military might use. The more modern one of today, I might mistake for a printer.Congratulations, Mr.Hardy, on a job well done!

RAOK ("RAOK Upgrade Brigade Group") Just going to put them out there. I don't know if this officially counts or not, but I'm going to suggest them. I know that I have been helped out by them before. Honestly, it can be costly just to try and be able to keep up my account/membership here. I like being able to do more and be a part of the WDC community. This group gave me the chance to do that. I am very grateful to them to have given me that privilege. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be able to be an active participant in the 30-day blogging challenge. I am immensely grateful that I can do that.

There's no way the Govt. is going anywhere near me. I am not their guinea pig. Who's to say what consequences will arise from it? What if it makes me ill, or kills me? Will my family get some kind of benefits/money if I die in the ''experiment''? Knowing the Govt., I'm guessing that's an NO. The Govt. can't be trusted now with anything they're supposed to; why should I trust them with something that could affect me so greatly? They can keep their money. It's probably coming from tax payers anyway.

Not on FB so not overly affected. I play other computer games on the web.Not sure about the paying for in-games part. It makes me think of some restaurants that have the tablet{?} or whatever and offer ''free''' games. They're not really and you end up paying for them.

I tend to not make resolutions since they don't last all that long. I think I'd do better at loving me how I am. The main thing is don't eat fast food/junk food all the time. It's also about proportions and getting a balanced diet. I give my support to those who are planning to be healthier this year. I wish you the best in the new year.

I don't think the current atmosphere will prevent some people from wanting to arm themselves with all the craziness happening. A problem with that, among many others, is there's no telling between a ''normal'' person trying to protect themselves and/or family and someone looking to shoot up the place. That's part of why people want to arm themselves. You just don't know anymore, and it's not getting easier.

One of the best birthdays I've ever had was probably my 12th.That's when I got ''Shannon'', My Mexican Red-Knee tarantula. We think it's a girl but it could be a guy. It was about nickel size when we first got her. It was awesome, I don't any other mothers who would allow an arachnid into their home. I still don't know how that got accomplished. Today, Shannon is doing well and is full grown. Thanks mom for saying yes, and thanks to dad for providing the tank for Shannon and for helping to pick her out and take her home.

Since I can remember, my favorite color has remained adamant: PINK! In this instance, I can see being a blend of a real pretty light pink and purple. I imagine it would be named something like ''smoothie magic'' or the like. The end result would be smoothielicious! As you're coloring, your mood will be high as my food inspired color helped shape your creativity.

Well, this has really been an experience. Mom and the guys back home probably won’t believe half of it when I tell them. But, that’s the price of seeking adventure.

Like my old nanny used to say, ‘’you need not travel the world to find adventure. Sometimes it finds you.’’ That’s all nice and all, but sometimes you need to leave home to find out more about yourself and the world at large.

So here I am mom. On a bus to a fishing town of Canada, of all places. I remember mom saying dad grew up here. But when I asked, he’d say: ‘’cold, snow, hockey central, eh?’’ and go back to browsing his newspaper. Thanks for being so forthcoming father of mine. But that’s where I’m heading now. Along with my new companion Jake.

He’s a bit of a nomad in his own right. He’s also a literal life saver fro when I ended up over board on a cruise ship in Alaska. He got me out of the water fast and I got immediate medical attention. It was raining and freezing, and I had a minor case of hypothermia and had to stay four days at the local hospital there. I sort of left that out in my letters home. No sense in worrying the folks more than they already are.

Jake’s actually from Portland, Ohio. Which is kind of funny to me. This big, blond guy and me on a journey to see what’s out there. He doesn’t talk an awful lot but he’s good company just the same. And he has annoying siblings back home too. At least my parents aren’t divorced and I only had two little brothers. He had an older brother and three younger sisters. I feel like I got lucky.

Jake says it’s not much father now, and we should make it before night fall. One thing I left out that I’m kind of embarrassed about. The dark still freaks me out, even though I’m a young traveling woman of 20 now. At least I have Jake to help keep the fear at bay. It can’t hurt to stick together, right?

Generally speaking, once Halloween's past, Thanksgiving gets thrown under the bus to make room for Christmas. Probably the least stressful holiday, overlooked for the most stressful. You'd think people would give the day it's due. Since it's the one day you can eat and not really need to do much else.

I don't hate Christmas music, there are some versions that are better than others. I enjoy listening to holiday music during the Christmas season. But once the holiday season is over, I do like to get back to the regular scheduled program. I think every holiday should get their due.
