you painted a lovely picture of the season of plenty, beauty and delight.
I am reminded of the flaming reds and the shining golds and the bright oranges of the flora and the horizon as well. The Supreme painter be praised.

Autumn weather comes through this delightful poem rather transparently.
"The sun still warms the earth,
yet there’s a briskness in the air."

Whether it is human season or the nature's season, I can see that autumn has a way of bringing comfort to all.

I find this absolutely touching. The pain and misery of losing someone you love and live for, are impressively conveyed through this poem.

The raw pain comes through each word the rhythm is one of sadness and longing to be united with the loved one.

"The pain I can not describe
My heart is ripped inside."

Imagery is visual and appeals to my heart and mind. Excellent word choices and spontaneous and natural feelings are carried throughout the poem. The title gets me to the quick. Absolutely on spot.

You have presented a lovely view of a freezing winter as you sat on the bench in the park. The setting is attractive from the word go.
The boy looked lonely just for a while and then we have a fantastic world where snowflakes surround him.
No number of medicines cured him despite stopping the dream for a while, because the angel is back and he was happily warm with his never ending dream.

The ailment continues.

Imagery is the very strength of the flash along side admirable language and style.

Ghost story with a twist.
Relief is that Griff exited before being mauled by the dead woman’s persistent lecherous ghost.

Money works for a while. What works beyond that is shown diagrammatically in this story. Not too scary on the surface but imagining what could have happened might be a little unsettling .

Like other ghost houses, this too has its places of strangeness.

It is such a solace to read a conclusion like this on death. That there are stars lingering for us is a wonderful thought.
The example of a little girl’s relief after the injury is clearly shown with the starman helping her to recover.
Death is not a threat but it is something one has to have no fears about.
This is a special, symbolic.

I realize that writing is not only to express the inner voice but also to expand your wings of creativity, be it a research topic, poem or a story. If writing needs to be balanced, we need to control our instincts to go haywire. That is why we need to go through the process of revision after every addition to the essay or a story. This covers grammatical issues and linguistic changes as well.
I appreciate your preparation prior to writing. Reading widely on various topics, referring to dictionaries(I favor Oxford Learners' dictionary, Webster's), and writing freely before editing are vital to writing.

This item although looks like a prose poem, flows like a spontaneous free style composition.
The man in here, your father, obviously suffered from bottling up feelings for years. When loneliness hits a person, it becomes the catalyst hitting the wall between himself and his feelings. And so the floodgates open and he gets submerged in the flood of memories and his association with them.
“The tears that welled to his surprise....”
I note that his tears were unexpected to him and that they bring peace and release to his suffering self.
You portray the picture of a strong man turning weak in spirit and flesh. A very moving poem with visual imagery.

this poem of yours brings to my mind the picture of a person, whom I would describe relaxing rather than being lazy.

You did say it was the Sunday after Thanksgiving. What do you expect other than lazing away on the next day. It is a delicious experience to stay in bed for as long as the body and mind want.
"Can’t you see
That I’m liking it?"

Attractively repetitive, this particular metaphor,
"I am a slug;
Dragging,
Crawling,"
paints the movements of the body and the picture of the mind that is consciously lazing away. These are the days that rejuvenates a person and recharges the energy necessary to go through the day-to-day life.

You have shown the multiple ways in which writing can be done and so well too. I realize the scope to write on different aspects of life is vast and various.

This verse appears to be free-style composition but the rhythm is unmistakable and precise. You take me to different worlds where imagination turns fertile and lets us fly on its fantastic wings. There is beauty and wonder, there is action and adventure, there is feud and villainy as well.
"Reveal a villain, one who perhaps, is merely a victim."

Cooking is one of the best topics to write about. It lets us practice writing skills in a unique way.

The intensity of the struggle for representation could be seen in this articles. It is newspaper cuttings such as these, that give us a clear idea and view of history as it unfolded at that moment of time. It was a vital moment for the colonies. They declared independence indirectly.
Known as Boston Tea Party, the incident was famous for its defiance of the British imposition of "taxation without representation". "Sons of Liberty" will forever be remembered for their dare and courage in emptying shiploads of tea into the sea. It was the first major act of defiance against the British rule over the colonists.
I can well imagine the fury and frustration of the British. East India Company played a major role in expanding the frontiers of the British Empire throughout the world . They came for trade and settled as rulers in India as well. It is another story how this occupations was possible.

The estimates at the end of the article are mind-blowing. However, no cost is less for Independence from foreign yoke.

Thanks for sharing this article that reported a groundbreaking incident in Boston's port.

I felt that in this poem, every word and the feelings expressed are sincere and uttered from the depths of your heart.

In this free-style composition, you have used simple terms with profound meanings.
“...when you hold me in your arms....moment in time for always.”

I can call this a prose poem with all poetic devices in place. Imagery paints scenes from real life, yet waxing with sentimental love.
The lovers are engrossed with each other and the world fades away behind them.

This is a touching story well-written in free style verse. My review of it is for your Wdc Account Anniversary. Congratulations on completing another creative year at the Wdc. Have a celebratory day.

I could understand that all was not well between the brothers prior to that night . That must be a happy night when the breach was cemented.
Those few lines caught the mood and mind set of both the brothers. In a silent yet spontaneous gesture, he was able to express his feelings of remorse of the past and love and happiness at the present reunion.
The silent witness has a key role too by implying the value and need of sibling.
It has a prose format. Yet, the pauses, silence and the brief exchange are powerfully poetic.
Imagery is visual with a dramatic effect.
Quite enjoyable.

this is a appealing take on life. You said,
"To live is not without its suffering,"
I will go step further and say, to live is suffering mostly. We feel the pinch of pain more than the times of pleasure. (that's why tragedies are forever whereas comedies are not that well remembered.)Sometimes nothing remains. Life is just one big cipher.

You are so right. Time makes no differences. Moments are the same. We attribute to them our own impressions.
The last paragraph shows the person as mangled heap of pain, failure and disillusion.
Moments like these are common for those who think deeply about things, of life, love, hate and the elusiveness of flashes of wisdom.
Loved your style, use of language and contemplative mode.

Imagery gets me, makes me breathless. Rare poetic zeal, spontaneous and colourful.
“meet me in the hills” sounds romantic and a bit mysterious as well.
Throughly spiritual, it thrills me to see them, an angel and a mortal. It is not just another mundane meeting. The fair-winged angel leading the woman of exceeding devotion to heaven’s gate through the hills, lochs,
and rivers makes intensely appealing image.
As I read through the exchange, I can visualize them flying across the sacred land.
Spirituality comes through appropriate use of words such as, “sacred grounds” “devotion and desire “white feathered wings” “light of wonder” and “heavenly time”.
The feeling of sublime pleasure throughout the poem is unmistakable.

It flows well right into my heart.

Rhythm gets me to the quick more than other elements of this Pantoum.

Precise structure and a model one for me. The casualness of composition makes me fee at ease with the form and prompts me to go for a poem of my own.

Standing in line when lights go out, a fleeting apprehension("I’m soon to be finished— no doubt.") between the lines and then with the lights on, enthusiasm to live it up also switches on.

"My moment of darkness has passed.
My spirit is singing, of course!"

Isn't this what life is? Fear and joy, drabness and delight, light and darkness alter throughout this journey.
You see, I see a lot of symbolism too embedded in the Pantoum.

Imagery shows the milieu as well as the poet going through kaleidoscopic feelings.

Heroine's heartbreak is shown quite diagrammatically. It feels realistic and natural. The setting and characters come along as though they have been taking place in the film industry as it were.

The woman's condition even before Danny was lost to the Devil's triangle is one of depression mainly due to her habit of consuming drugs and alcohol. She was already into the soughs of depression. Danny's disappearance only added to her condition of being in the dumps and took her to further ruining her chances of acting. It was unexpected and thus added more drama to the dramatic filming.

This story makes me aware of the kind of conditions that prevail in screen life. The artists live on the edge of life not knowing where and how it ends. They cannot escape from the risks of being physically close to each other and then for a reason beyond their control, they lose footing and slide down finding no friend or solace anywhere. They are left with deep psychological wounds. It is difficult to come out of the trauma. Money can't buy peace.
Such a tragic life!
It is a rare read for me. Thank you.

You have done a great service by making the Americans aware of the pitiable conditions of the military veterans. Like you said I don't understand. In many countries, the military personnel receive pension and enjoy benefits like fee housing, medical facilities and a discount in all utilities after retirement irrespective of rank and file.

But for them, we wouldn't be enjoying peaceful living.
It is astounding to see so many homeless veterans and those who commit suicide.
With more such mobilizing public awareness drives, at least the people of the country should wake up and take notice.

This romantic poem sounds like a lyrical song of love.
Rhythm gets me along with the telling word choices.
Imagery is even better, showing the seasons, the places and the states of mind through which true love never alters. Alteration in the weather and space make no difference to the two in love forever.
This kind of love is the same through all the ages of love till the end.

It's pretty good actually.

You have developed the imaginary garden very well indeed. Given a choice I would definitely like to have similar one planted in my backyard. The roses are enticing and so is the pool provides a kind peace where one can sit and dream of another world.

The old lady obviously the owner of the garden is also an interesting character. surely, she might have her own story to tell.

this is a wonderful motivational piece on doing a job with immediate effect. Lazy as we are, many of us have the tendency to postpone and procrastinate little realizing their long time harm.
You are right when you affirm that today is the key to finding what we want, mostly satisfaction and happiness thereby. I appreciate that view point.

An appealing poem on trees. They do have voice of their own if people have willingness to listen. Spending time with the trees touching them and feeling their skins, branches and leaves has always been a great pleasure for me. As I look at the mountain, I can the trees on the sides along with other kinds of bush scale its height and enjoy the elevated scape.

This byte size poem delves into the very life springs of trees and visualizes its shape and voice and the wind that surround them. Trees love to tell their stories.

this is an impressive acrostic on "ordinary".
You have shown that to be ordinary is quite extraordinary and that it is not possible for many to be so. True that to be ordinary is to be "overshadowed". Yet is not a big deal for those who do not make much noise about anything. So they go unnoticed. Pretty logical, but they, I mean those who look and behave ordinarily can cross the odds with ease and shine better on recognition.
