the Lead that can solve the case

After years of trying to find out what was causing the mysterious clownification, the agency seemed to be stuck.

But if what they now had was true, perhaps they could put an end to years of fruitless searching.

According to the story, they discovered a twenty-year-old boy named Lucas who claimed to have escaped from a strange carnival that turned his best friend into a clown. He went to the police and they didn't believe him, but thanks to an agent who knew the agency, he was able to get this information out so that the boss didn't even decide for a minute and got to work. It was the opportunity they were waiting for.
