August "Augie" Brown was a street urchin. His mother was dead and his father was a useless drunk he wanted nothing to do with, so the 12 year old had run away, stowing away on a steamship to the big city of St. Louis... only to end up cold, scared, and nearly starving, forced to sneak into a cafe's pantry. Which...turned out to be the secret entrance to a speakeasy below the place. He was cornered by some massive cat and...seemingly, only spared because of Mitzy May interrupting him before Augie was disposed of. Now he's begrudgingly become Mitzy's adopted "son", though given the time period...he feels more like her purse pet.
Ike O'Malley
Ike is the human "Cousin" of Rocky and Freckle. How did they end up with a human cousin? Rocky found him sitting on a stump in the woods as a kid after his parents abandoned him and Rocky got his aunt to agree to let him stay with them... Once again he often feels more like the two's pet more than a cousin.
Libby Lafeyette
Libby Lafeyette is the current paramour of Serafine Savoy. The fact that Sera is dating a human may seem strange but the two seem to have a surprisingly healthy relationship...based around Libby worshipping the ground Sera walks on and Serafine honestly just getting off on the power dynamic of having a lover she could eat without having to chew if she wanted. Maybe Healthy wasn't the right word.
Josephine Jones
So...maybe getting involved with an underground speakeasy ran by macros was a bit far to go, but who hasn't done crazy things for a crush? Josephine, Jo to her friends, was one of a few college friends of Ivy Pepper...and as far as she knows the only human one. She has also fallen hard for the "Titan Effect", a nickname for the tendency for humans to develop intense crushes on macros.
