If you were to ask anyone who spent five minutes with him, they would tell you that Deku was a hero obsessed Fanboy. And if you told him that to his face, he would laugh nervously and agree.
But just because he loved all things hero, did not mean that he loved all of it equally. Everyone had their favorites. All Might stood atop the Hero World, and was the most popular hero, which skewed the polls in his favor.
Izuku had and would always admire All Might. But there were other heroes who did not seem to get the level of appreciation that they deserved. Especially among Heroines specifically.
For Izuku, the heroine that best fit that was definitely Midnighr, the R-Rated Hero. She was far from unpopular, but whenever he viewed online discussions about her, it always went back to her appearance. Not that Izuku couldn’t appreciate her beauty, he would never deny that she deserved a place high on those lists of attractive and sexy Heroines. No one ever talked long about her actual heroics, her kindness to civilians, or her sheer confidence that Izuku admired most of all.
Izuku imagined himself as Midnight. Striking fear into the hearts of villains, the rush that comes from dominating them.
As Izuku walked home from school, he found his thoughts so filled with Midnight that he paid no attention to his surroundings.
