On the planet of Diogene 5, there was an alien race called the Dinans. They were a very intelligent reptilian species that had the potential to reach the stars and become a space faring empire. That was until they created the Dinodroids.
The dinodroids, given that name due to their large size and resemblance to lizard creatures, are self replicating machines that are programmed to eliminate all threats to their existence. Eventually they decided their own creators were their biggest threat and wiped them out. Now the dinodroids have expanded from their own planet and created their own galactic empire. They see all organics as a threat to their species and are very hostile to all other empires.
Typical dinodroids are humanoid in look, resembling robotic versions of female humans from Earth, with the exception of their more unique features, such sharp teeth, claws on their hands and feet, and long tails. They can also range widely in size, from less than 1 meter tall to 50 meters tall. Each dinodroid looks different depending on their role. For instance, infantry dinodroids have no arms and only has the weapons mounted in their eyes and mouth while worker dinodroids can have multiple arms but no weapons.
