Maybe a legendary pokemon does something to Ash's hat, giving him the ability to hypnotize any female that looks at its symbol that is at least his age. He will eventually learn how to turn it on and off at will.

Perhaps Ash is born in a world with pokegirl slaves and is more willing to enslave a harem, instead of ending up in said world
