1. An employee or some other character gains a power or ability that allows them to swap minds between bodies. The person could get the power in any number of ways. It could be an accident, it could be gifted or maybe they stole it.
2. A supernatural being or alien has the capability to swap human bodies. It could be a malicious demon, a mischievous spirit or a scientist from another world. Humans may or may not be aware of them.
3. Some sort of item or device causes the body swaps. It might work automatically or require some sort of control. It could be something mundane and simple like a ring or a complex machine beyond normal human comprehension. It may work at random or have a complex set of rules that it operates by.
4. Body swaps happen without any clear reason. Perhaps it will be explained later, perhaps not.
