How about a new type of body swapping, where the swap is limited to two (or more, if you'd like) people that, while sharing the same spatial presence, cannot both exist at the same time? (Basically, when one comes out, the other waits inside the subconscious, like Jekyll and Hyde?)

Or, what about a similar sort of situation, but our protagonist can randomly take on the body of someone else in or around their surroundings?
