You always wanted to go to Lumiose city. To marvel at its sights, to visit its monuments, to partake in its culture... and perhaps to sample its cuisine. Well. Here you are. Lumiose City.
Or, rather, a twisted and gigantic version of it. Your first introduction to its culture? A young girl trampling a man into a pulp as if he were nothing but an ant, and earning immediate (albeit superficial) validation from her mother. This city is not safe for you. For all you know, you may be fine Kalas cuisine yourself.
You look off into the distance as you ponder your next course of actions. The Prism tower lies beyond the girl, looming tall over the city. At your tiny size, the already tall tower must be thousands of feet tall, easily surpassing the tallest building ever built, at least compared to your miniscule size. A stark warning that you have entered a world populated by beings who are simply on a higher level than you. You then shift your focus back to the girl. Forget about the Prism Tower. This kid is practically a little tower herself. A little movingtower whose prissy pink sandals are primed and ready to humble and break you.
Your first goal is to get away from this meandering menace before she can spot you. You quickly turn tail and head north, towards the appropriately named North Boulevard. The towering legs of half-unseen giants make their way along the avenue as you rush. Not having the time to check to see if you've been spotted, you simply rush on and do your best to avoid having your life squashed out in a thundering footfall.
You eventually make it to a trashcan halfway down the avenue, one which you swiftly use for cover. You sit down with your back to the trashcan and take a momentary rest. You recount the various giant footwear you saw... sandals, pumps, sneakers, high heels, even Pokemon paws...each (almost) equally capable of obliterating you. Those seem trampling feet continue to thunder, accompanied by the laughter , chitchat, and barks of the unseen giants.
You find it hard to relax, even in the cover of the trash can. These idle, relatively safe moments allow you to reflect on just how utterly screwed you are. Where can you go for shelter? Who would be willing to help you? If you stay here, you'll almost surely get offed by some random Pokemon scrounging for food... and that's assuming a human doesn't get you first. You need to find more permanent shelter, and for that, you will need to explore.
At least then you won't have be stuck moping over your situation.
You get to your feet and round the trash can. As you do, you spot a discarded candy wrapper. At first you barely register it... but as you look it over, you realize it could actually serve as an invaluable form of shelter. You slip into the Pachirisu themed chocolate peanut candy bar wrapper, doing your best to ignore the overwhelming scent of chocolate and the sweet chocolate smears. You begin to rush along the side of the avenue using the wrapper as cover. As you advance, occasional gusts of wind catch against the wrapper, forcing you to brace yourself to avoid getting knocked off your feet or losing your cover. To think you'd find yourself worried about simple breezes!
Eventually you make it to the edge of the avenue, and find yourself at Lumiose city's northern boulevard. Surveying your surroundings, you quickly focus your attention on the people and Pokemon in your immediate vicinity.
The first thing you notice is pair of young girls, one of them a blonde pale white skin, clad in a pretty pink dress...no doubt a fairy tale girl. The other is a schoolgirl with light brown skin , yellow maryjanes, and pink leggings. They seem to be looking out at the street, and traveling westward would put you in their line of sight.
Immediately to your right, you spot a somewhat rugged man in a jacket checking the bottom of a Gogoat, likely part of the Gogoat shuttle service. Both the man and the Gogoat are quite distracted.
A Toxel sits in the shade of one of the decorative trees lining the boulevard's median, dead ahead His eyes are nearly shut, and his tongue hangs awkwardly from his mouth. You wonder where this groggy tyke's trainer is... if he has one at all.
Looking along the median trees, you see a Pachirisu clinging to one of them, clearly on the lookout for food. It may be smaller than the girl, but it is still a giant to you, and is not to be discounted.
You see an office lady kneeling before a spilled-open briefcase, struggling to piece together its contents before the wind scatters her papers across the city.
Finally, you notice an alleyway. You can't make out any signs of life in that direction...it could be a potential hiding spot. Then again, alleyways have a reputation...
You mull over your actions. You are not willing to get the attention of any of these giants. At least, not yet. That much is certain. But which way should you go?
