Two allies of the Problem Child Gang were Jen and Jon Grant, fraternal twins, AKA Rose and Thorn. They are both thirteen, son and daughter of Don and Diana Grant, wealthy owners of a weapons research and development firm.

Rose has above average intelligence. She is a natural fighter in all forms of combat; gun, knife or bare hand. She also has heightened strength and endurance (equal to a highly trained adult soldier)

Thorn has above average intelligence. He possesses the ability to transform himself into any inanimate object he so wishes within reason. His specialty is weapons of all kinds including guns which fire energy bolts instead of ammunition. He can even become weapons of cartoon lore so long as he knows how they should work internally. He is also resistant to pain and injury.

The two work well together but fear getting themselves too involved due to strict parents who fear discovery of their powers would cause them to 'disappear'.
