Go up the steps

After a moment, you decide that there is no reason to be a coward; nothing odd is going on here. You feel around until you find the steps and stumble up them to look around upstairs. Upon exiting the stairs to the basement and are surprised how dark it is in the house. You would've thought that the partial moon would provide some manner of light, after all, there's no such thing as a house with no windows, right?

You are tempted to use the lighter again, but not knowing how close you are to something potentially flammable, you decide to feel around first. The hall you find yourself in doesn't seem overly ornate, as far as you can tell anyway. You walk room to room to get a lay of the house. What of interest do you find?
