Deciding that stumbling around in the dark hallway isn't getting you anywhere, you decide that it is time to enter a room. You find a handle and turn it. The door creaks open on hinges that sound like they need to be oiled; however, the room before you suggests anything but an old house.
The room before you is none other than the most unremarkable room in any house: the bathroom. At least, it is usually uninteresting. In this case, it is spotless. Instead of soap grim in the bathtub/shower and cobwebs on the walls and chandelier hanging above, everything is a polished white like the day it was installed. You know this because every white surface seems to be emitting a soft glow, despite no lights being on. This scene gives you pause, if something like this could be here, then perhaps it wouldn't be as impossible as everyone thought for someone of fair youth to be roaming these halls. Presumably not the person everyone thought as he of course would be old, but maybe he had a child no one knew about. You reason that there is still plenty of room for a logical explanation without associating ghosts or resurrection.
Upon entering, you look around to see if there is anything else to see, shutting the door to look behind it. Nothing else remarkable sticks out to you, the light of course doesn't work, but everything else reminds you of any other bathroom. You can't help but wonder if someone else is living here, why they wouldn't get the power working, and why target specifically the bathroom. Though, to be far, you haven't had a great look at the rest of the house, yet.
