The origin of the Saurians is shrouded in mystery.
Some documents claim that they hail from an incredibly inhospitable jungle planet, too savage to develop past simple tribes the only reason they are present among the stars is due to a rogue starcraft abducting a large amount of them in hopes of using them as soldiers, only to have the saurians revolt, slaughter the crew and begin spreading throughout the cosmos. Others claim that the saurians were genetically engineered to be living warmachines, and some overzealous folk even claim that the saurians are punishment created by a wrathful god.
Whatever the case may be, the important details are that Saurians are massive (even by galactic standards, averaging at about 400 feet), incredibly resilient and powerful, extremely aggressive and naturally sadistic. Saurians are typically pirates, raiders and sometimes mercenaries. Their ships mainly operate in neutral space, where neither the federation nor the empire will stop them from plundering and destroying to their heart's content.
A human who has been taken prisoner aboard a saurian vessel, unless incredibly useful and irreplaceable, is unlikely to survive long...
