Given their natural resilience and aggression, Saurians make for fine soldiers. Though few saurians join regular armies, instead opting to become guns for hire, as there is much more glory and riches to be found in such a career, and much less rules to follow.
The Freelancer is a famous (many would say infamous) mercenary vessel. The heavily armed cruiser has been known to turn the tide of many battles in favor to whichever side is able to cough up more money. Though primarily saurian in composition, there are other races among the crew.
The de-facto leader of the Freelancer is a grey furred Canis who goes by "the Colonel". A master tactician, skilled negotiator and a no-nonsense individual, known to be very unforgiving of mistakes. But his strictness is born not out of malice, but out of genuine care for his employees, given the extreme danger of the occupation.
Despite humans being seldom known for their combat prowess, you nevertheless find yourself onboard the Freelancer.
