For some reason, Judy's gaze continued to go back to the Buoyant Blimp Berry. The bottle looked very similar to the one she had confiscated from the suspect before they had gotten away. She could remember the sight of the kangaroo as she hopped along the alleyway, stopping to drink the bottle and dropping it on the ground as she began to grow. Her tummy bloated to a giant size before the rest of her caught up, growing bigger and bigger until...
"Officer Hopps?" asked Stephanie. "Are you with us?"
Judy jolted back into reality and felt a redness in her ears. "Sorry! Uh, I think this one will work for the purposes of our investigation. Yes."
"Excellent. Well, I hope it helps! And I look forward to seeing you again real soon."
Judy couldn't help but wonder what Stephanie meant by that as she left the store with her evidence in tow. But she had more important things on her mind.
Though she had managed to determine exactly what she was looking for in the shop, there was still the matter of proving that it was actually responsible for this whole mess to begin with. Even though Judy was a witness, no one in the ZPD was actually taking her seriously. Not that she could blame them. Even after seeing it with her own, Judy still didn't know if she believed it or not. But now she at least had some sort of proof as she entered the station to find a handful of familiar faces waiting for her in the form of Nick and Clawhauser.
"Yo, Carrots," said Nick while he leaned against the front desk. "Where have you been?"
"Oh, just gathering something that will be useful for the chase yesterday. Take a look."
Judy held up the blue vial to the pair of them.
"That's and all, Judy," said Clawhauser. "But it sounds like Bogo is a little...Livid right now."
"What? Why?"
"He's not happy that his top officer seems to believe in cartoons, apparently," Nick answered with his arms crossed. "And then let a potential suspect escape."
"But it's the truth!"
"Well, maybe you might want to explain that to him then if you're so confident in that assessment, Carrots. So, this is the little magic potion that turned our culprit into a blimp, quote unquote?"
"Yes! And I can prove it to you all!"
Judy had an idea. The kind of bad idea that'd usually happen as a result of her being challenged by something. She looked down at the bottle in her paw. When all you have is a hammer...Everything looks like a nail. The only question was who was going to be the one to drink from the bottle?
