Nick was surprised by the item the goat showed him. It’s maybe Judy’s favorite vegetable and food in general, but how a carrot could help him understand better his best friend?
“You seem perplexed Mr. Wilde,” the goat said.
“I mean… I don’t understand how this carrot can help me with my friend Judy” Nick admitted frankly.
“I see. However, this carrot isn’t a normal carrot. It’s a magic item I found in a mysterious forest and it has some extraordinary properties. It should enable you and Judy to understand each other like never before,” Stephanie explained with conviction.
Nick couldn’t believe what the goat was saying. He didn’t believe in magic anyway, but he could feel this shop and its objects had something special.
If the goat weren’t lying, this carrot could be an interesting experience for him and Judy.
“Okay, your ‘special’ carrot intrigues me! How much does it cost?” the fox asked.
“I offer you this item for free! I have the feeling this ware is more useful for you than in my shop.”
“Really? That’s so kind. Zootopia would be a better city with sellers like you!”
“How sweet you are! I hope you will be satisfied. Before leaving, I didn’t tell you how it works” added Stephanie.
The goat explained to the fox that he had to eat this carrot before going to bed while thinking of his best bunny friend.
The pleased fox then left the shop still curious about the strange object he was holding in his hand.
He followed step by step Stephanie’s instructions with the carrot and fell asleep.
**Beep Beep Beep Beep**
Nick was woken up by an unfamiliar alarm clock bell. He had the feeling his head was going to explode.
He slowly opened his eyes and turned off the alarm clock with his paw. Surprised, Nick realized he had gray fur on his arm.
Besides, it turned out that he wasn’t at his apartment: it was Judy’s.
Then everything came back to his mind: the strange shop, the magic carrot…
The fox didn’t understand, what was going on. Indeed, Stephanie hadn’t been really clear about the effects of her product yesterday.
He stood up, feeling smaller than usual.
“Judy, are you there?” Nick couldn’t help asking, surprised by his female voice that sounded a lot like his best friend’s one.
There was no response: Nick was alone in Judy’s apartment. He was completely lost.
“What the hell is going on,” he thought.
He looked for a mirror that he finally found in the bunny’s bathroom.
What he saw in the mirror froze him: he couldn’t see his own reflection but Judy’s one. He moved his body towards the mirror and Judy’s reflection perfectly mimicked his movements.
The former fox stayed in front of his new reflection for a long time, trying to understand the circumstances which led him to this inexplicable situation.
Stephanie’s words “It should enable you and Judy to understand each other like never before” were resonating in Nick’s mind.
