This was going to be a difficult battle due to the size difference between your team and your opponent’s. However, even though you and your team had shrunken to tiny size, you still had your experience. You were a skilled trainer with a talented team, so you believed you could find some way to overcome these odds.
“By the way, my name’s Callie!” the girl shouted all of a sudden.
“O-oh, okay,” you said. “My name’s—”
“Tackle!” Callie shouted, taking advantage of the distraction. Fletchling ran forward and crashed into Electivire; being over twice his size, the bird easily launched your Pokemon. Thankfully, he recovered from being knocked down, and let out an angry roar as sparks flew around him.
“Electivire! Thunder!” you shouted. Your Pokemon shot a bolt of lightning at the bird, causing it to stagger and squawk in pain. You grinned. Even though the wild Swirlix resisted that move previously, this Flying-type was weak to Electric-type moves. Even its size couldn’t protect it.
“C’mon, he’s too small to hurt you!” Callie said. “Tackle again!”
“Thunder again!” you shouted. You and Callie’s Pokemon traded blows again, and both of them were looking a bit roughed up now. Electivire was tough, but getting smacked by such a giant Pokemon was still pretty painful for him. You decided to give him a break and try another strategy.
“Volt Switch!” you ordered. Electivire blasted Fletchling with electricity, then jumped back towards you. You recalled him and sent out Dusknoir, while the bird recovered from the electrical attack and charged at your Pokemon for another Tackle attack. Predictably, the Flying/Normal-type phased right through the Ghost-type—but it was now barreling right towards you! You barely dove out of the way in time to avoid its talons stomping on you, and rolled on the ground before getting back to your feet.
“Ice Punch!” you shouted as you got back up and moved away from the Fletchling. Dusknoir flew past you and up to the bird, smashing an ice-covered fist into its face.
“Use Peck!” Callie shouted. She seemed desperate.
“Sucker Punch!” you ordered. Dusknoir swiftly punched Fletchling again before it could attack, and the bird toppled over, shaking the ground as it collapsed.
“Ice Punch again!” you shouted. Dusknoir hit Fletchling before it could get up. The bird cried out and went limp, fainting at last.
“Gotcha!” you shouted.
“Aw man,” Callie moaned. She recalled her Fletchling and sighed. “Alright, little guy. Looks like you won.”
“W-wait, what?” you stammered. “Really? Don’t you have more Pokemon?”
“I’m a new trainer,” she said, walking over and crouching by you. “Fletchling is my starter, and she’s the only Pokemon I have so far. But one day, I’m gonna have a whole team!”
“Well, good luck with that,” you said, recalling Dusknoir into his ball. “Now, about our bet...”
“Yeah, yeah, I’ll carry you to that town like I promised. Come here.”
The dark-skinned schoolgirl held out a hand, and you hesitated before approaching it. She wrapped her fingers around you, and you grunted as she squeezed you and lifted you up like a doll. It felt weird to be grabbed by a giant hand, but at least she wasn’t holding you tight enough to hurt you. You were lifted up to the girl’s face, and saw she was grinning at you.
“But first,” she said, “I wanna give you a prize for winning.”
Before you could say anything, she suddenly moved you to her face, puckered her lips, and planted a giant kiss on you. Her lips covered your entire face, and you froze up in shock. It felt very strange, but not unpleasant.
She held the kiss for a couple seconds, then pulled away with a pop, and giggled. You couldn’t help but blush and glance away from her. This girl was quite a bit younger than you, so being kissed by her was weird, but at least it showed that she didn’t have any hard feelings after being defeated by you.
“Sorry,” she said. “I couldn’t resist. You’re just too cute!”
She then moved you over to her cheek and rubbed you against it, as if nuzzling you affectionately. You squirmed a bit due to discomfort, but Callie simply giggled as she felt your struggles. Thankfully, she relented after a few seconds, and then she moved you to her shoulder and released you from her grip. You sat down, but you felt unsteady, so you tried to stabilize yourself by using one hand to grab onto her brown hair and the other to grab her backpack strap below you.
“Alright,” she said. “Let’s go to the town!”
“Can’t you keep holding me in your hand?” you asked. “I feel like I’m going to fall off here.”
“Don’t worry about it,” she said. “I’ll catch you if you fall. Y’know, I usually let Fletchling sit on my shoulder, so it’s fun to have a little person there instead!”
You sighed and accepted it, keeping a tight grip on her hair and backpack strap as she began walking down the path. You didn’t feel entirely safe with this playful girl, but at least she was kind enough to accept her loss and take you to the town, instead of being a sore loser. You even started to think it could be a good idea to stay with her for a bit, and see if she could help you track down Mew. Then again, a young schoolgirl like her probably wouldn’t be very helpful with that, so you might be better off finding someone more capable.
After walking for a bit...
