(Set during the Chapter 7 mission).
Lances axes and swords crossed on the battlefield, creating a large spectacle for the onlookers at the famed Battle of Eagle and Lion. So far, it was living up to the name as the students from the Black Eagle and Blue Lion houses clashed. The Golden Deer were notably absent.
“Gotta say, Teach,” Claude began, pausing for a moment to watch Ingrid lunge at Ferdinand with a lance. “This scheme of ours is probably the best one yet.”
Lorenz scoffed. “It better be. I see no tactical benefit to keeping the rest of us out of the know.”
Claude twirled an arrow between his fingers. “Tactical benefit? None whatsoever. But it’s gonna be a hell of a surprise.”
Meanwhile, over with the Black Eagles, Edelgard watched from her perch. “Hubert, doesn’t it seem odd to you that Claude and Professor Byleth haven’t entered the battle yet?”
“I agree,” he said, squinting to get a better look at the group of Deer across the battlefield. “They are up to something. Shall we divert our troops?”
“Good idea,” Edelgard said. “We should intercept them before they can execute whatever scheme they have.”
It didn’t take long before the rest of the Black Eagle squad began to focus their attention to cornering the Golden Deer, cutting through the field and rushing towards the group on the other side of the river.
“Well,” Claude began, watching a small army of encroaching soldiers come closer. “Looks like now’s as good as time as any.”
“Agreed,” Byleth agreed. The professor turned to a pair of students. “Hilda, Lysithea, are you ready?”
“Ab. So. Lutely!” Hilda chirped. “This is gonna be fun.”
“Just leave it to me,” Lysithea said back, her hands glowing with energy.
Leonie turned to Ignatz. “I’m scared to find out what could possibly get Hilda this excited.”
“I trust the professor’s judgement,” the archer said quietly. “If it’s approved by him, then surely it can’t be that bad.”
Little did he know, that it was that bad. Hilda stepped forward, surprisingly unarmed. She stretched her arms behind her back, and then swung them, limbering up for her part of the plan.
"Send in the tactical Hilda!" Claude yelled, putting a weighty bass in his voice.
“On three,” Byleth instructed. “One. Two.”
“Three!” Lysithea and Hilda finished, blinding the others with a bright flash of light.
The battlefield crashed into a halt as a blinding light covered the entirety of Gronder Field. Then came a massive shadow, blocking the light over the Blue Lion and Black Eagle teams.
“Ohohoho! This is AWESOME!”
As it turned out, the Golden Deer’s latest scheme was to warp a giant Hilda right into the center of the action. The pink haired giantess giggled as she looked at her tiny schoolmates scrambling away from her massive boots. She had to have been taller than the monastery’s tallest towers, a fact that she relished as she raised her boot and brought it down, sending an earthquake and knocking over the grounded units.
“This is bad,” Ignatz said meekly.
“Relax, Iggy,” Claude reassured, clapping the thinner boy on the back. “She’s on our side. You should be worried about the other houses.”
The reactions across the other houses were mixed to say the least.
“Sylvain, quit gawking,” Ingrid snapped, hitting the back of his head with the pole of her lance.
“Everyone else is doing it!” He rubbed at the sore spot.
“Not everyone’s staring up her skirt!”
“I can’t help it. It’s all I can see!”
Meanwhile, Bernadetta on the central hit trembled behind her ballista. “Uh, Edelgard, c-can I retreat now!?”
“Not yet!” The Black Eagle commander yelled. “It’s still a valuable position. Just fire at her and take her down. Everyone, work together to take Hilda down.”
