"Come on Michael, what's there to be embarrassed about? Missy walks around wearing nothing but a collar all the time, she'll even parade around the park the little exhibitionist." Avril said teasingly.
"Ha ha, very funny. There's a difference between your dog walking around without pants on and me."
Avril looked like a lightbulb went off in her head, "There doesn't have to be a difference. Not if you swap...this." Avril finished scrolling through the myriad of swap options before she found what she was looking for.
"Bodies? You want me to swap bodies with your poodle?" You ask.
"Well you're the one who doesn't feel comfortable walking around in your body wearing nothing but a collar, why not try a different body that fits your new wardrobe?" Avril pointed out.
"Well..." You were considering some deep questions about losing your own humanity piece by piece as a joke and how that might not be a great idea, but then you remembered that you have a freaking reality altering remote so why the hell not use it? Without another word you selected the body option and confirmed the change with a cavalier attitude and one bright light later you found yourself suddenly on all fours looking down at your new white fur covered paws. You heard a shuffling noise and looked up to see Missy in your body and clothes asleep moving her new legs in an almost running motion, looked like she was having a fun dream.
"This is so weird." You said as you heard Avril gasp, you looked up, way up to see a surprised look on your girlfriends face. "I can't believe I just heard my dog talk with my boyfriend's voice."
"Hey! I'm not a dog with your boyfriend's voice, I am your actual boyfriend...just dog shaped." You protested, the look of surprise was replaced by a laugh. "Sorry Michael, my bad, it was just so unexpected to see my dog's mouth move and a bark not come out."
"Grrr uff." As if on cue your sleeping body on the couch gave a very high pitched bark before settling down back into dreamland.
"That remote is amazing." You said taking your first steps on four legs. It was definitely an odd sensation, but before you could get used to it Maria came back to the living room. "Here are your drinks kids." Maria handed Avril a can of soda and put a bowl on the ground and poured a second soda for you before she left.
"Ok...I guess the remote makes some additional changes into account to help make some sort of sense of this body." You said thankful you didn't have to try and figure out how to open a card with paws.
"That's wild, I wonder what other changes have been made." Avril pondered. After a minute of figuring out that you couldn't slurp up your soda with a dog mouth and eventually started to figure out how to lap up the bubbly beverage with your canine tongue as Avril watched amused.
Satisfied that you were able to drink enough soda to fill your smaller belly, you were about to ask Avril if she wanted to try swapping herself, you heard your phone ring. Confused you looked at your body, or more specifically your pockets where you normally have your phone, but the ringing wasn't coming from there. The ringing was coming from a small backpack that looked like a smaller version of the one you used at school. Curiously you used your nose to open the thankfully easily openable bag and found your phone that activated as soon as the camera saw your doggy face. It was your mom video calling you.
"Michael, it's getting late, I'm expecting you home within the hour in time for dinner. I'm making you your favorite." Your mom said talking to you as though you were just your normal self an not in the body of your girlfriends dog.
"Uh...sure mom. I'll see you soon." You said pushing your nose against the hang up button. "Seriously, that remote is crazy." Was all you could say.
"It really is...I bet it could make it so you could maybe...swap bedrooms with Missy, that way you could stay here for the night and you could walk me to school." Avril proposed.
"And this random idea you came up with doesn't have anything to do with wanting to use the Remote of Swapping all night?" You say knowingly.
Avril gave a 'guilty as charged' grin. But you had to admit the idea was tempting to stay over with your girlfriend and keep up the remote testing. Then again you were also tempted to see how your home life has changed now that you had Missy's body and clothes.
