Summer rolled around and Jennifer and her kids got up nice and early because today was going to be the start of their family holiday. Every year Jennifer takes her kids on a few weeks holiday for summer and it was one of the few times all of them were collectively looking forward to something.
Jennifer was looking forward to being to lay down at the beach or the pool while her kids entertained themselves without bothering her, not needing to make dinner or work, just some time relax. The kids however usually treated this as their annual war, usually being split between Quinton and Clarissa against Vanessa and Julie with them constantly pranking each other, doing challenges and such usually resulting in a perfect way to let out their frustration with each other.
The ride to the airport and the flight went smoothly as they all conserved their energy for the inevitable struggle and kept to themselves for the most part, although Quinton and Clarissa were already discussing strategy, which wasn't a surprise. Not long after the long flight and the slow ride over to the hotel, it would mark the last night of solace before the ceasefire would lift.
Jennifer checked them into the hotel and received the room keys. Instead of going for a family room, Jennifer opted to take one room for herself and pairing the kids with each other in groups of 2. She was perfectly aware of their usual team-ups and like usual she paired Quinton and Clarissa sharing one room with Vanessa and Julie sharing another.
The family each made their way to their rooms to unwind before dinner.
