This choice: Vanessa and Julie had prepared an early prank. • Go Back... "What was up with them?" Quinton grumbled as he and his sister Clarissa stepped into their hotel room.
"Who cares?" Clarissa said with an annoyed sigh, plopping herself down on one of the beds.
"You never know with those two," Quinton said, referring to their other sisters Vanessa and Julie. "Could have been up to something." He shrugged as he recalled the events that had transpired minutes earlier.
"Here," Vanessa had said, shoving a pair of room keys into Quinton's hands. "Mom said to give these to you." She had then ran off with Julie, who was giggling madly.
Now up at the room, Quinton couldn't shake the feeling something was off. It was the start of their annual prank war after all.
"They don't usually start so early," Clarissa said.
"I guess," Quinton replied. "But we should start planning all the same. Got any ideas?"
"One or two," Clarissa answered. "But I'm gonna grab a quick shower first."
Clarissa got up and went for the luggage. The four siblings all had similar suitcases since their mother had got them in a set for a discounted price, so she checked both to see which was hers.
"Shit," Quinton heard his sister say.
"What is it?" he asked, glancing over to his sister.
"This is all Vanessa and Julie's luggage," Clarissa said, holding up a slutty white dress with a floral print that belonged to their oldest sibling.
"Damn it, they must have swapped the keys," Quinton realized. "This is their room. I remember Mom saying our luggage was sent to room 11 and this is room 8. That's what Julie was laughing about."
"Ugh, what a dumb first prank," Clarissa groaned, throwing Vanessa's dress haphazardly onto the bed. "I can hear her now ... We'll switch rooms and they'll be soooo mad. Shoot me."
Quinton just stared at his sister. "Your impression of Julie is too good. That's unsettling."
"What's the matter, big bro?" Clarissa asked, continuing to mimic her younger sister. "Why don't you ever hang out with meeee?"
"How did you get so good at that?"
"Dunno," Clarissa shrugged, returning to her normal tone. "I just copy what I hear." She cleared her throat, then picked up a cutesy pink top from Julie's suitcase. "My name is Julie and I'm a little brat who loves pink," she said, imitating her sister again as she held the top up to herself.
"It's not hard," Clarissa then said, noting her brother was still staring in surprise. "You try it."
"Okay, uhm." Quinton picked up Vanessa's dress from the bed. He held it up to himself then did his best to mimic his older sister's manner of speaking. "My name is Vanessa and I'm a total drama queen. Check out how hot I look in this dress."
"And you said my Julie impression was good," Clarissa said in amazement. "I didn't know your voice could go that high."
"Neither did I," Quinton laughed. Finding it amusing, he couldn't help but keeping it up. "Good prank idea, Julie. Clarissa and Quinton will just hate it if we mess with their luggage."
"Thanks, sis!" Clarissa giggled, mimicking Julie again. She then gave her brother a devious look. Switching back to her normal tone, she said, "I've got a great idea for a prank." indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
