This did seem to be the best choice in Lisa's mind. Leni was sweet, kind, but most importantly lower on the intellectual spectrum of the rest of her family. Not to say she was dumb, even if such things as fashion were not Lisa's thing she would applaud Leni for just general set up and creativity of her works. Actually when she thought about, Lincoln was very creative too. The comics that she saw him make definitely had potential given how well with proportions he seemed to be with.
Two artists, there's already some common ground which was great. Then there was the added bonus of choosing Leni, just how easily convinced she could be.
