Although well aware that studies, especially human ones, were best dealt on a long term basis, Lisa was never one to be patient with scientific matters. Especially matters of such a seemingly important facet of human psychology. Despite what the fabrications of Hollywood dictate, it takes time for a proper relationship to blossom and no doubt longer than that considering the tabuu of the relationship her experiment required. Leni wasn't the brightest bulb but Lincoln certainly wasn't a fool.
Plus, there was also the issues of long term research that bothered her. The human mind was a fickle thing and as the multiple times Lori and Bobby 'broke up' and 'rekindled' themselves showed, it couldn't be trusted to even keep it sensible. Even if by some miracle she managed to get the two together, there was no telling if they would stay together long enough to make any kind of usable data.
There was something she could try. It was a bold and there was more than a considerable probability that it would mess up the data. But how many experiments were made within the confines of an isolated box in the middle of a university? If anything, this was just a way to help things along.
